The topic is suffering in which Sloth seems to be the sin that drives some of your guys beliefs.

Seriously, are you guys listening to yourselves right now?

"Life has no meaning waaaaah we're all useless. Nobody loves me!"

Get a fucking GRIP!!!! It's that apathetic attitude of sloth is the real problem here. Therein lies your suffering! You guys tremble and fall in the name of love and glory! Your pride is the thing that doesn't let you admit that you're wrong. Pride is what's holding you back to admitting your faults and shortcomings and to go into the right direction!

Yes! Your correct. Sorry about that. Yes, I'm definitely not content. That was bad grammar on my end. Im not depressed. But I still thirst for contentment. Hahaha. You got me.

Thanatos10. Let me go on recored stating I am not a genius and I'm no more capable of learning than anyone else. I have no answers and I really don't know a whole lot. I am not brilliant and I have never done anything great. I'm just a dude just like you except I love everything and you don't. So I love you and I also appreciate your hate for me. I just love to argue.

Then it's not love.

It's loving to destruction.

I feel ya here man. I've been feeling that a lot lately, other people have commented on it a lot too ("You're so bloody happy all the time. Like a puppy." "You positively exude love.") but it's definitely not love for everything, cause some things in this world piss me off and when I get pissed off I feel suffering (see OP).

It's more like, I just love being in my own skin, and therefore everything outside of it, good and bad, is just wonderful somehow, cause it's got stuff to show me.

--------------------
Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not.

When I sense a polarization in a person I try to destroy it. I love the person and Im willing to have them hate me. I know this sounds like self righteous bullshit but its actually much more of a mental disorder on my end.

Yes! The simple love of being ourselves in our own skin. This radiates from people and it's often received well or not so well. But who cares right? As long as I'm loving this skin everyone else cn eat a dick!! hahaha

I better get some work done but I have come to a conclusion on how I deal with my suffering.

I simply deny myself the ability to suffer.

Works for me!

Because "sin" is just a concept created by man to sow guilt.

Because that's all we do. We live, we die, and the cycle repeats. Humans can comprehend infinity since we live such finite lives. There is no meaning to life, it just is. Wonder is subjective.

Also no such thing as Satan.

Sloth, referring to laziness.

So you're calling cancer patients lazy too? They're suffering makes them act as sloth.

Life doesn't have an inherent meaning, life has a subjective meaning to the values of individual people.

I am apathetic yet not suffering in my beliefs?
How odd you mention I should suffer.

I tremble and fall before failure. Then I get up and prepare better for the next time.
Pride is unaffected by failure it is effected by ego.

I dealt with my suffering by ignoring my feelings.

I try to know, not think.

It takes a lot of thought to know things so I did a lot of thinking/drugs and I eventually accepted what I knew was going on in my life.

I know how to forgive things that happen in life.
I don't blame people for the shitty things that happen in my life.
I take responsibility for my own actions and I value the experiences I've had.

Sometimes I recognise it's better for my own happiness to simply focus on myself wherever I am.

Being mindful that there's a bit of good and bad in every day prepares me for whatever happens.

So basically, I practice being mindful and aware of my personal values in order to absorb/ignore the action potentials I experience to ensure I don't jump into negative cycles of thought.

Don't worry Deezdelta. I'm one to agree with you.

I see a lot of Sloth and Pride in this thread. Yall need Jesus

Sloth is one of the seven deadly sins in Christian moral tradition, particularly within Catholicism, referring to laziness.

Sloth is defined as spiritual or emotional apathy, and being physically and emotionally inactive.

Although, as defined above, sloth is more akin to apathy and inactivity, many English speakers narrow it to mean simple laziness,(Proverbs 10:4, Proverbs 12:27, Proverbs 15:19, Matthew 25:25-30) about which the Bible makes many comments. (Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. Romans 12:11; Lazy people consider themselves smarter than seven wise counselors. Proverbs 26:16; Lazy people irritate their employers, like vinegar to the teeth or smoke in the eyes. Proverbs 10:26)

Pride (Latin, superbia), or hubris (Greek), is considered, on almost every list, the original and most serious of the seven deadly sins: the source of the others. It is identified as believing that one is essentially better than others, failing to acknowledge the accomplishments of others, and excessive admiration of the personal self (especially holding self out of proper position toward God); it also includes vainglory (Latin, vanagloria) which is unjustified boasting. Dante's definition of pride was "love of self perverted to hatred and contempt for one's neighbour". In Jacob Bidermann's medieval miracle play, Cenodoxus, pride is the deadliest of all the sins and leads directly to the damnation of the titulary famed Parisian doctor. In perhaps the best-known example, the story of Lucifer, pride (his desire to compete with God) was what caused his fall from Heaven, and his resultant transformation into Satan. In Dante's Divine Comedy, the penitents are burdened with stone slabs on their necks which force them to keep their heads bowed.

This thread has gone way off track, let's let it die a dignitable death.
