Haha ... I just don't think the Rothschilds or Rockafellars are secretly engineering it from their ivory towers ... It's just the evolution of a very interdependent global economy run mostly by de-centralized multi nationals that employ the political classes around the world.
It will take another 9/11 level economic event to generate a real reaction to global sovereign debt problems ... some defaults ... huge pension liability problems ... credit ratings lowered ...
That kind of thing.

Ah the man made global warming carbon tax racket. You know they teach this theory in our colleges and universities now? A younger girl I work with came in and was talking about it so we engaged in a debate. She eventually ended up saying, "Well it doesn't matter if its man made or natural, the point is we need to do something about it!" to which I replied, "Good luck controlling solar activity, sweetheart."
But to go on a tangent off of a tangent, these poles shifting might be pretty damaging to communication systems and power grids.

My guess is the global debt reset will involve the introduction of a competing alternative global currency into the global markets. It will be very slow and gradual, but it's coming. And it will be pegged to something ... not just gold ... maybe a basket of commodities INCLUDING oil.
This global currency system will then be used to retire system threatening debt in exchange for increased regulatory power. Just my prediction.

Well, that's the thing, they are experts at kicking the can down the road. The only way I see a reset (in the near future, 2-3 years) is if we enter a major global economic depression.
My guess is the debt will grow, CB's will buy the debt, and it will continue until it doesn't. Since interest rates are low the interest payments are still very small, realistically they can play this game for another 10 years, maybe longer.

Not really. One can support spending programs and "support" revenue generation programs that balance it. Can't have one without the other.
Only an idiot thinks we can reduce taxes from the level they're at now and somehow magically balance our budgets and pay down our debts.
I'm for BIG spending cuts at the military (5% every year for 5 straight years then lock in at a 25% cut for next 10 years), means testing for Social Security and Medicare, reform of our crazy drug laws, elimination of foreign aid with countries that are not strong allies, elimination of all forms of corporate welfare and increasing the retirement age with strong incentives for Seniors to get involved in tutoring kids, helping with health care and other community building services.
Something Ive said for years, I'd be for tax increases, IF it actually went to pay down our debt, but it never does
I think we should cut everything, accross the board, especially our unfunded liabilities, why don't you support that?

I'm for big spending cuts where it matters most ... military, corporate welfare and long term entitlements. Let's start there first before we fight over the smaller stuff.

The military only accounts for 20% of spending, the other 80% like welfare and bloated govt agencies ARE the most important and also, just happen to be the ones NOT mentioned in the constitution

Your numbers are way off ... The big 3 are Military, Interest on the Debt and Social Security/Medicare (on the Federal Budget)
Discretionary spending is a much smaller percentage than most people think. The tax breaks from corporate welfare, however, do represent a big number in terms of lost revenues.

Non-defense discretionary spending, in your chart, represents 17% of federal spending. I said focus on everything else. So, no, I'm not wrong.

What's 17% of 4 trillion?
What's 2% of welfare spending?
I'm not opposed to cutting military spending, we don't need a base in Germany, but focusing on the military while letting every other bloated agency slide is bullshit
How about a 2% cut across the board, THAT'S a good start

Are you confusing tax breaks for job creation and development with "welfare" again? A little intellectual honesty would go a long way

Here's a good place to start ... Bloated military spending is a form of corporate welfare too ... add in ethanol subsidies ...

Im all for slashing military spending first.
Its hard to justify this:

Military Government contracts are BIG business these days. This shit is ridiculous:

BINGO! Couldn't agree more. Corporate + military welfare first ... Then go after wasteful domestic programs then means test Social Security and Medicare ... That's the way to do it.

GTFO, are these the same American families that live below the poverty line and don't pay any taxes?
You do realize the top 10% of wage earners pay 70% of taxes, the bottom 50% pay a whopping 3%,
That aside, I wasn't for any of the bailouts, the biggest subsidy ever, lots of libs here claim the govt had to, blah blah blah
