Swami's $20,012 2012 Challenge
    #2199696 -

As usual, unlike the believers (that don't really believe!), the Swamster BACKS UP ALL HIS CLAIMS. So once again, I will put up $20,012 against anyone's money to be held by in a trust fund drawn up by a mutually agreed upon attorney (I nominate frog!) that 2012 does not bring a new paradigm in human consciousness. Three impartial judges will also be selected to determine the "winner".

Using my amazing prophetic powers, I predict a lot of rambling posts to follow, but not one single taker.

I have $20,000 to bet with. However, I choose to not take you on this one. I will put it up on that sign on your computer. I will do everything I can, OBE< to read that sign. Now, Swamster, don't go changing it on me...

Question: What "new paradigm in human consciousness" are you talking about? The one the lady was speaking about in that article I postd on '2012: Revisited'? I may have evidence, if I know what you are talking about.

The problem is this: when 2012 comes and nothing really happens, people are going to have trouble backing out, so they'll claim that the shift HAS happened, it's just that only the enlightened few can actually notice it... wait you could to if you meditated and tapped in and, well, BELIEVED that it occurred.

If you believed it happened you'd know it did happen.

That kind of deal, and they won't want to part with their money.

Unless you can convince them that with the new conciousness shift, money is no longer needed.

I Would like to be the third judge in order to keep a "Fair and Balanced" assesment.OOPS now I gotta pay fox umpteen bucks for infringememnt.
At any rate I hope to be around in 2012 and would certainly notice any "paradigm shifts" in society or spirituality (even if all you unenlightened miss the whole show )I think I exist enough in both mindsets to balance Sclorch and Phluck's uber-pragmatic heteroabsolutism(even bigger )
Please consider my request el Swami.

You see... if such a shift were to happen, it wouldn't matter if you were "enlightened" or not... you'd know something was definitely fucking different.  Everyone has a ticket to this show... we're just waiting to see if there's anything behind the curtain (in the meantime, I'll be out in the lobby of reality sucking down expensive port and thinking of what else I could be doing right then).

People who want the world to change are banking on someone else, or some other force doing it for them.

This'll be just like planet X not arriving. The people claiming that it's coming will simply shut up and disappear.

Ahm... I'll go state the obvious, here. Isn't it a wee bit early to start such a bet in the year 2003?

NOW! we have achieved synchronous sensory aproval of an excellent and far under-appreciated of one of what even the most devout atheist will cry out credit to God himself for creating. This wonderous elixir, this balm of the soul, this crown of human aesthetic beauty. Fine Port...is there anything more pleasing to all senses?
Slorch, one day perhaps we shall share a fine port, something perhaps as old as I.Hopefuly aged more gracefuly and with finer character but with some of my boldness still intact.
I shall begin my inquisiton into family in Portugal for leads on a worthy bottle and shall post a picture of it's bottle, vintage and lineage. You judge if it is worthy of the appelation of "fine old port".It is a bottle and convesation I would be pleased to share with you.
A Toast! To Port,be it tawny or ruby your seductive charms are not lost on those of fine palette and epicurian demeanor!

I'd share a bottle of port with you anytime!

I've actually got a moderately-priced bottle of port right now.

Quote:
Fonseca Twenty Year Old Tawny Port is deep amber in color with russet highlights. Its superb bouquet is a complex marriage of ripe, plummy, mature fruit, warm spicy overtones of cinnamon and butterscotch and subtle oak nuances. Full-bodied and voluminous on the palate, its smooth, velvety texture is carried into a long clean, elegant finish. Tawny ports of age will not improve once bottled; they should be served at room temperature or barely cool at the end of a meal with nuts or not overly-sweet desserts.

I believe that those of us who are currently the outcasts of society will become necessary for the period about whic we are talking.

Froggie, let's just make something clear here:
I'm an outcast by CHOICE.

What does it matter for what reason any of us might be outcasts? And just for the record, I never said anyone here is an outcast. Actually, I'm sort of an outcast. I don't really live by the rules, or the way one would expect me to live. I just happened to be smart enough to go to school and pass the bar. I think I'm an outcast, first not by choice, and now by choice. Much better this way.

Where is Renegade?
