Swami's $20,012 2012 Challenge
    #2199696 -

As usual, unlike the believers (that don't really believe!), the Swamster BACKS UP ALL HIS CLAIMS. So once again, I will put up $20,012 against anyone's money to be held by in a trust fund drawn up by a mutually agreed upon attorney (I nominate frog!) that 2012 does not bring a new paradigm in human consciousness. Three impartial judges will also be selected to determine the "winner".

Using my amazing prophetic powers, I predict a lot of rambling posts to follow, but not one single taker.

Question: What "new paradigm in human consciousness" are you talking about? The one the lady was speaking about in that article I postd on '2012: Revisited'? I may have evidence, if I know what you are talking about.

The problem is this: when 2012 comes and nothing really happens, people are going to have trouble backing out, so they'll claim that the shift HAS happened, it's just that only the enlightened few can actually notice it... wait you could to if you meditated and tapped in and, well, BELIEVED that it occurred.

If you believed it happened you'd know it did happen.

That kind of deal, and they won't want to part with their money.

Unless you can convince them that with the new conciousness shift, money is no longer needed.

I've actually got a moderately-priced bottle of port right now.

Quote:
Fonseca Twenty Year Old Tawny Port is deep amber in color with russet highlights. Its superb bouquet is a complex marriage of ripe, plummy, mature fruit, warm spicy overtones of cinnamon and butterscotch and subtle oak nuances. Full-bodied and voluminous on the palate, its smooth, velvety texture is carried into a long clean, elegant finish. Tawny ports of age will not improve once bottled; they should be served at room temperature or barely cool at the end of a meal with nuts or not overly-sweet desserts.

I don't really live by the rules, or the way one would expect me to live. I just happened to be smart enough to go to school and pass the bar. I think I'm an outcast, first not by choice, and now by choice. Much better this way.

There are plenty of observable signs which indicate a preamble toward a dramatic shift in paradigms. Whether or not these observations can be paired with the coming of 2012 is only speculation. The division forming in the physics community as a large branch of it begins to move away from the vision of the mechanistic universe and world view is one glaring indication. Over the past thousand years, the views of the great minds of physics have directly paralleled the views of the surrounding cultures and religious systems. The overwhelming crassness of consumerism and it's ever-accelerating regurgitation of ideas can be thought of as another. The growing dissatisfaction with the state of affairs seen with each consecutive decade, another.

We don't have to look to ancient Maya, the I Ching, or the eccentric musings of Terence McKenna to see that the surface of this here pond is beginning to boil. Though, they make some striking points that resonate eerily well with new developments.

Exactly, the shift is already in progress, and a certain few people will try to hold everyone back. I personally don't think we are entering a 5-th dimension or something like that, we can't just be rid of our bodies and become beings of light or whatever in the next 8 years. No fucking way a 12th planet is coming, unless 2 new planets are discovered in our solar system in the next 8 years. I was just about to give you shit for posting what I said like it was your own & then I saw the second post.

"First not by choice and now by choice" is a good way of putting it.  I'm guessing that's how it was for a lot of us - sucked when I was a kid, but I'm damn glad I'm not a part of mainstream society now.

So, I definitely don't see the term "outcast" as a negative.  Whether by divine plan or just coincidence, I don't know, but I think it's interesting that those of us who are most open to feeling the upcoming changes are the ones who are on the fringes of society.  We each have our own reasons for being on the fringe (nonconformity, age/youth, race, poverty, insanity, drug use, whatever), but there seem to be some common feelings that cut across all demographics.

If you think about it in terms of the 2012 prophecies, it makes even more sense.  We have to be the ones who will bring about the changes because very few who are part of mainstream society want the system to fall apart.  They'd lose the security they prize so dearly, but that is much less important to someone who has all their material possessions in a backpack...or a pickup truck.

Also, if we are supposed to go through this change toward a more compassionate global community, that's going to require things like leadership and communication.  When the infrastructure starts falling apart and the people set up their own communes/villages/whatever, none of them are going to trust a corporate suit who shows up to guide them through the endtimes.  Someone who's been living on the fringes their whole life will have more credibility than the guy who was part of the sellout of humanity that led to the collapse.

Oops, that got a bit long (big fuckin surprise), but I don't think I explained it very well the other night 'caues I was tired.

These are secondary, in my opinion, to the simple large-scale realization of the absolute necessity of a compassionate global community for our health and happiness. Such a view is already gaining much ground.

While the speed of technological development is speeding up, conciousness, spirituality and morality don't seem to be changing.

Good find, fireworks. And interesting. So we could instantaneously have 2 or 3 more planets, depending on whether the scientists come up with a definition for what constitutes a planet.

I don't know about Uranus, but Pluto was not discovered until a few decades ago because it can't be observed with the naked eye. So even according to Mayan observations of the skies, and if even if they count the Sun and moon as planets, it still doesn't add up. If there was another planet (or two) orbiting in our solar system, it would of been discovered a long time ago.

Ahh, but the question is, what else DOES do it on such a level? One isn't likely to have a revelatory experience seeing a dog chase a frisbee, although it is definitely possible and depends on the individual. However, a Level 5 trip has a lot more power to do so and has proven this many times.
