Yes, their actions are reprehensible, but that's why I asked if you had a better solution for the Iraqis that want their country back, so that they aren't labeled as "terrorists".

We killed people and destroyed buildings for our purposes, now they kill people and destroy buildings for their purposes. Yet we accuse them of being terrorists, because our cause of ousting Saddam was just, and their cause of taking back their country is "unjust". Most Iraqis seem to want independence, now how should they go about it? Asking nicely didn't work, by the way.

What UN member would ever contemplate sending peace-keeping troops to Iraq now? The men who are attacking America's occupation army are ruthless, but they are not stupid. They know that President George Bush is getting desperate, that he will do anything - that he may even go to the dreaded Security Council for help - to reduce US military losses in Iraq. But yesterday's attack on the UN headquarters in Baghdad has slammed shut the door to that escape route.

You act like a majority of them are fighting back. That is not the case. I would venture to say that plenty of the Iraqis, will be glad to see the Iraqi resistance be wiped out. These are the same people that have been opressing them for years. I am not calling these people terrorists anyway. The terrorists are the people coming from outside the country to fight their jihad.

Where has anyone actually said the terrorists are good guys?? Oh I see, if someone thinks the US are wrong then they must naturally think that their enemies are right. Unsurprisingly simplistic thinking.

True, but I think that's because if they did fight back, they'd probably get killed.

Virtually every Iraqi that's been captured for fighting against US troops said they hate Saddam. They're just fighting against the continued US occupation.

If anyone can show that the majority of Iraqis are ok with the current US occupation, then I'd change my opinion in a heartbeat. I don't mean that they like us more than Saddam, because I know they do. I mean that they would prefer us in their country rather than out.

If your answer is "if we leave the country Iraq will go to hell", I say you are wrong, because the UN would take over. And that's what the Iraqis want. (LOTS of other articles that confirm this as well)

well there are certain situations which would appear to have a very definate answer.  The problem comes from people...we can manipulate each other, so the the very act of determining right , to me, seems like a precursor for doing wrong.  Do they both exist? possibly, but right and wrong is hardly more than a concept in our heads..a perspective, as the reality of the situation is often right for some, and wrong for others.  But to sit back and not act ever for fear of doing wrong with right intentions is wrong in and of itself, but so is action.....so really all that matters i guess is for one to do what they think is right....but therein lies the problem.....it seems a bit of a paradox to me... :confused:

No I don't see it that way at all really. While I don't doubt that terrorists think they are right, the results of their actions seem pretty wrong to me.
