Chapter 1: First Encounter with Swami
    #15359007 -

Intro

I first heard about 'Swami' through a casual friend that had told me some interesting stories which had seemed far-fetched. He had weekly meetings every Thursday night at 8 PM in his townhouse open to all. Swami was not his real name nor was he a yogi or even Indian. It was a nick-name his 'students' gave to him for his unique abilities and not how he referenced himself. To protect his privacy, I shall also call him Swami.

Chapter 1

There were seven of us in attendance that night. Swami looked at each of his guests one-by-one, pausing as if to drink in their essence or to evaluate without judgment where each person stood in his relationship to the universe. When his dark eyes peered into my soul I felt a jolt in the core of my being. Suddenly it seemed as if the floor had disappeared and I was dropping like a freight elevator with a snapped cable, Down, down, down I went, out of control directly into the maw of some dark and terrible monster; its mouth open wide to swallow ne whole and obliterate the idea of who I thought I was. I broke out in a cold sweat and started to panic as the falling had turned to twisting and spinning at incredible speed. A black fog totally enveloped me and the terror was complete. What I faced was either death or insanity. There were no other possibilities. I was no longer cognizant that I was a human being in a cozy living room in suburbia.

At this point there was nothing left to do but surrender to my fate as I was powerless to resist. I shuddered involuntarily and let go. A calm came over me. I felt peaceful and safe. Safe, and yet something more. Much, much more. Something new and yet very familiar. It was love; total acceptance; a giant, warm bear hug from the cosmos.

A pinpoint of light appeared and I was sucked in at enormous speed that kept accelerating. It was not more than what seemed possible, but magnitudes beyond the impossible. I felt as if I had traversed the entire galaxy in mere seconds. I came to an unexpected stop sitting in an overstuffed chair grabbing the arms in a death-grip. I thought the momentum would throw me clean through the fireplace causing an explosion so powerful as to decimate an entire section of the city, such was my velocity.

To my surprise, I only lurched forward an inch or two as one might do when waking up unexpectedly. "How, how did I get here?" My memories came flashing back and I became aware that I was staring into the eyes, if you could call those vacant orbs eyes, of Swami who had a tiny smirk on his face as if we had just shared a humorous secret.

He glanced at the next guess and the trance was broken. "How many millions of years had passed?" I asked myself even while fully knowing only seconds had transpired. Had I really stepped outside of time or was I just hypnotized by a very clever con man? I watched intently as Swami stared briefly into the eyes of each attendee looking for an unusual reaction. I saw none; just faces of passive curiosity or indifference.

Did I just imagine what had happened? A momentary daydream fantasy? I could answer none of those questions, but one thing I did know. I had to find out more about this intriguing man.

I think it would be so cool to be able to put someone in a trance, put their hand in some warm water and then dry it off and pull them out of the trance.  They are seriously going to wonder why they pissed their pants but the laugh is on them!  If they have a security camera in the room unbeknownst then you get busted but otherwise you are just the laughing prankster.

Nice:thumbup:  Finally getting down to writing this and moving forward on the business deal you I and Diploid talked about.  I was wondering if it was all talk.

That's a cool post OC, is it autobiographical, a parable or an extract from your new book? :super:

Yes folks, every single thread quickly degenerates into discussions of sexuality or the bashing of other members. Without fail.
I find this very telling about the nature of spirit and our collective maturity.

i would totally buy this book , I love stories of guru's...

ive met several who I believe to be God-Realized beings, one was before an Ayahuasca ceremony with him, Prem Baba, and at the beginning of the Satsang he did the same thing: looked round the room at everyone's eyes in the room... and there were 70 people in the room... i couldnt tell for sure cause there were a bunch of other people sitting around me, but when he was looking at me/in my direction I could feel a straightening sort of sensation in my spine, like a circuit clicked on in my nervous system... I could feel a tension lift from my consciousness and I felt safe and warm.

One of my friends that I lived with for a few months at a commune is also extremely awake/self realized and you cant help but feel his warm ecstatic aura... he makes me giggle and laugh and I feel so lighthearted around him... his movements and his eyes are full of divine ecstasy...

so many divine beings incarnated now
