So how did the mushroom know enough about humans to create a chemical that would make the humans want to cultivate and spread the mushrooms all over the world!? :ooo:

it didn't "know", humans cultivated the mushrooms that had the highest psychoactive effect, leading to darwin genetics where only the strong survive.. and in this case, the mushrooms that made you trip =)

How does a thermos know to keep hot things hot and cold things cold?

To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

I thought it was clear to everyone on the shroomery. Almost every aspect of mushrooms is at least on the top 10 list of greatest things. The part about them being damn smart little reproducin' fella's too just makes em better.

Go through the orange yesterday

I watched intently for a while to both sides, infront of me and behind me.
I was impressed to learn there was another way to look... UP!
More impressive still was the fact that there were beautiful stars in this direction
Most amazing fact of all was the prospect of another direction when I was done with up. DOWN! Which, based on the feel through my toes would be a fine sandy beach!
