I'd have to go with the internet and all the things that can educate and bring us closer together. Especially at this critical stage in the race's develpment.

Mans greatest achievement was realising the possible catastrophic consequences of introducing alien fauna/flora to ecosystems. For once in our history we demonstrated real mental growth and an unselfish concern for the wellbeing of the planet.

i think mother nature fucked up with us.
recently i read a post by someone here (i forget who, but take cred if you want) that said something along the lines of how gaia is using us to hardwire the planet. getting the lines of transport and information all set up so it can jump to another stage in its evolution. but look at what happend;
we are fucking this planet over. its got to realize that if it lets us continue, our selfish consuming is going to impare it beyond any benifit we are giving it.
so look out for mother nature, she's angry at us and i dont think she's going to let us stay much longer.

Man's greatest achievement was discovering we can manipulate the environment by using itself against itself
The invention of "The Tool," although the more I think about it, I think we kinda jacked the idea from other animals, but whew we've got way cooler tools than all the others :-D

right, "we kinda jacked the idea from other animals," but I don't see tool-use evolving with other animals like it has with us.
