Would you kindly rephrase that? It can be a reality if one so chooses.

How long have you been a vegetarian and how far do you go with it?

damn after a couple hours of research I gotta say you vegaterians are a hell of a lot healthier then the meat eaters who dont watch there diet, I gotta say though a lot of it probably has to do with the amount of effort you guys put into meeting your dietary needs.

I also found that to have a completely healthy diet you have to include some meat for the B-12 and Carnosine.
And vegan diets, well those are just plain unhealthy

anyone that oesnt watch their diet will be less healthy than those that
do, a vegetarian that doesnt watch theirs will be in far worse health than
a meat eater that doesnt

thats basically what the reason for them being healthier amounts too, how many of those non vegaterians in those studies watched there diets as religiously as any of you, very few I would imagine, studies are nice but there always skewed in one way or another

I know it's fashionable to be vegetarian but it's not realistic at all.

are you kidding?  maybe if you think you are better than others for it.  I don't care what others are eating.  I am happy that I am healthy, much moreso than when I ate meat. I don't care if other eat meat in front of me, we are omnivorous, we have a choice.

Also there are factors of what your ancestors ate, thus making those food sources easier digestible.

I can attest my plant based diet has been extremely rewarding, and my skills in cooking have drastically improved.  Also, my digestion is WAY more mellow than with meat.  I RARELY get stomach aches.  I have no less energy, I get sick once a year on average.

Edit: I have been vege 2 years, my roomate has been for 17, and my best friend for 18.  They are both in excellent health.

Do your thing, I don't care what flesh you consume, I just know I dig not bothering with it.

I will still only eat hormone free, grass fed, local meat (stay out of my thread Pris).

that's kinda mean, I was even gonna say good job on that choice of meat

Now you made me feel bad.
I figured you would come in here and go off on grass-feeding for a while.
I should have kept my mouth shut, sorry Pris .

If you have any meat for me, I'll accept it as a peace offering.

You totally just did preach your lifestyle by saying it was unrealistic.  Its totally not unrealistic, and its really not as hard as I thought it was going to be though I only stopped eating meat a little more than a month ago.  I still love meat, I just have a serious problem with USDA regulations.

To OP, T-bone or Porterhouse is a good steak because it has meat from the tenderloin and from the short loin and they are cheaper.  Some people prefer medium rare, personally with really good steaks I think rare or if you really like rare meat go for blue rare.

All I'm saying is that we as human have canine teeth for a reason and therefore it's in our diet to eat meat.

we also have vegetable munching teeth.  We are Omnivorous.

Also with evolution comes change... Our necessity to eat meat is now, obviously non-existent.  We CAN consume it, but there is absolutely no necessity.

Monkeys will eat meat if they are hungry, even other monkeys.

nonetheless us humans don't need it.  but we are able to process it.

indeed, Although they contain a lot of vital nutrients, my previous point being that is completely realistic to be vege in response to feedingmydreams, although we can live off of a multitude of diets.
