Now that the big government is taking over our lives, we can now all celebrate the fact that we are safe and comfy.

I feel good that the government now has an all-access-pass to my medical records.

I personally would never smoke Marijuana because it is illegal. My blood is free of drugs - how about you?

I'm so glad our big government is protecting each and everyone of us. I personally don't have the mental capacity to think for myself - therefore I need the government to help me. Thanks big brother!

I'll feel much better when the government tells us which foods to eat and which herbs to ingest. Can't wait! Thanks Liberals!

That's one thing I don't understand about liberals.

They'll talk all day about equal rights, legalizing pot, but they completely lose me when they think big government is somehow good.

I have pondered the same sort of thing.


The best idea I have thus far is that they trust government far more than the people.

It may be something along the lines of: "People are inherently wicked and need to be controlled by an external authority..."


Many pseudo-liberals are confused in that they think "rights" are somehow granted to people out of the loving-kindness of big brother government.

"Please sirs, can I have the right to smoke marijuana?"  Or:

"What kind of thoughts am I allowed to have about government?"




Honestly, I think that part of the underlying problem with humanity is that many are in a state of arrested development.

It is genetically advantageous to obey authority figures when one is a small child.  Obviously small children need to keep close to their family and listen up when they are told that something is dangerous.  They do not yet know enough to avoid death on their own.

Government attempts to take over the role of a parent in society...

Even an abusive parent can get the attention (and obedience if only through fear) of a person who never completely grew up...

They do?  I more often hear them talk about affirmative action and banning more things...  I wish liberals did talk about equality and legalization.

if liberals think that big govt is good..then conservatives think that bigger govt is even better..including ..torture and death camps for their political opponents.. and preemptive imperialist warfare against any nation that happens to be sitting on top of an oil well...

I justed asked a question sweetie.  Neither Iraq nor Afghanistan qualifies as pre-emptive or imperialist and Afghanistan doesn't have any oil.

you may be correct in the sense that the dispute in afghanistan is over a gas pipeline rather than oil...but iraq was very obviously a land grab..to try to claim otherwise is at best laughable at this point...

Iraq was not.  It was the continuaton and obvious and inevitable conclusion of a conflict started by Saddam Hussein in 1990.

The insurance companies, which still control health care in America after the passing of this bill, already had an all access pass to your medical records. There are no new developments here...Your medical privacy is just as non-existant as it ever was.
