A revolution is usually when the oppressed rise up against the oppressors. If there is a revolution in the US, who would anyone rise up against? Would we attack the representatives that WE put in office? America's revolution will be an intellectual revolution. It will be one that everyone will willingly become a part of. With very little opposition, our revolution will happen peacefully.

Besides, it's pretty much old generations vs. young generations right now. Young people multiply, while old people die on their own, without our help. We're pretty much living with our grandmother right now. But in a decade or two she'll be dead and we'll inherit her house and we can do all the awesome stuff that her ignorant, racist ass wouldn't let us do.

When the oppressed rise up at the oppressers the oppressers press back with full force. Theyll try tooth and nail to stop the revolution, no matter how much you think the rev is gaining ground.

The leaders of the revolution will be the first one to get shot and this is whyfigureheads  (martyrs) are needed to take the bullet.

Itd really help if the OP explained more about what sorta revolution he was talking about specifically.

The revolution I was envisioning was all the anarchists/libertarians/vagrants whatever sayin "we dont need no stinkin government" and trying to out them entirely, rather than a revolution of the devoted nanny-state supporting tax payers sayin "ah we voted for the wrong guy...you gotta go".

You underestimate the younger generation. We're just like you when you believed in a revolution. The difference is that we won't get slapped down by our parents and grandparents, since our parents and grandparents are you guys. Plus a revolution with the technology you guys grew up with wouldn't even be that great. This revolution is going to be all about technology.
