I agree... He's a fear monger and fear really does no good. IMO, the whole point of waking up to the "conspiracy" reality to move away from the fear.

If you haven't yet, watch the movie Waking Life. Alex Jones has a part in it which I really enjoy. Though he may have a reputation for fear-mongering, in that movie, the point he makes is very beautiful and straight-forward.

I think fear can be weakness

but the truth can also be scary and there can be a period of adjusting to certain truths before your fully capable of accepting it and guarding against fears to lead you away from it

we have to face certain fears in order to be able to distinguish genunine fear from using fear to control

all fears require facing(even if they are unwarranted you have to approach the prospect honestly in order to sort through whether we actually should be afraid or not)

its when we don't face them that we become weak

Global Warming is an example of fear mongering in order to control

Alex Jones also believes this

even if someone is inspiring fear, if they are telling the truth they are still doing a good job IMO

its when people start making you afraid of things you shouldn't actually be afraid of that there is a problem

sometimes fears are created for control as well

911 and the patriot act after is a good example of that

I think we should be afraid of the government and "their move towards one world government"(Alex Jones)

some people are oblivious to this reality and they NEED to have the crap scared out of them so they take it seriously

many people get scared just from discussing this stuff here

so should I stop just because they are afraid?

maybe the fear will help them take it seriously and evaluate the evidence honestly

we both know big things are coming

so why get down on a fellow warrior in the battle for truth(hes not perfect like I said but I believe hes done a lot of good in this fight)

hes helped bring it into the mainstream thought where it NEEDS to be

even if people decide they want this one world government they need to know that its whats being planned by all the major nations at this point in time

I think fear is an appropriate response for some situations. But I definitely had to stop listening to alex jones because I just started having panic attacks everytime.

Alex Serves a function. Despite his faults, he actually covers a lot of good news that gets ignored. He's pioneered a model for new media that has been wildly successful. His films are one of the defining characteristics of the media from the first decade of this millennium.

He brings a lot of people into the fold, but if any person is to mature in their world view they definitely have to get past the fearful conspiracy worldview that alex promotes.

I always got the vibe that Jones was kind of a double agent for the entire cause.  A lot of the stuff he does on film has a lack of authenticity....perhaps the gov't implements him intentionally to appease the "crazy conspiracy nuts"

hell it makes plenty of sense to me.  The information that we could obtain is extremely delicate, and this world is on the brink of, or rather in the midst of undeniable and incredible change. Almost unbelievable change, but its happening around us every moment if we open our eyes.
