The effects of mushrooms and ayahuasca on the heart/cardiovascular system?

Hello,

I've started this thread so people who are educated enough could please
tell me how exactly mushrooms as well as ayahuasca affect the heart and the cardiovascular system.

All i know is that Psilocybin Mushrooms constrict blood vessels,
and that both Psilocybin Mushrooms and Ayahuasca can elevate the heart rate because of the intense emotions these psychedelic substances can create.

I searched this forum as well as google, but could not find the answers to my questions.


  • Does a dose of 5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms constrict the vessels less or more than ~ 2 cups of coffee?

  • Does ayahuasca cause vasoconstriction?

  • Which substance is more dangerous for a person with stable and mild case of angina pectoris,
    Psilocybin mushrooms or Ayahuasca... and why is this?

  • Are there any other ways in which Psilocybin Mushrooms and Ayahuasca influence the heart, besides vasoconstriction and heartrate?

no need to give an in depth reply if you don't want to,

but is there absolutely no one who can at least give a link to a page which
explains in detail the effect of Mushrooms and or Ayahuasca on the heart and cardiosystem?

Its difficult to separate the direct, pharmacological effects of psilocybin from the psychological effects.

In general, moderate to high doses of pure psilocybin will raise systolic BP about 20 mm/hg and diastolic about 15 mm/hg.
