I understand perfectly.

I seem to have taken you out of the element of a linear paradigm. That is not within the guidelines. Very rude on my part. I apologize.

Pretending that you know the mind of Veritas (or any other poster) just shows how flawed your thinking is. It is not clever. It will gain you no points and only serves to make you look foolish.

It was CRITICAL THINKERS and obervers who determined the world was not flat. The same type of CRITICAL THINKERS alive today look at so-called evidence of alien visitation and find it to be completely lacking in any substance whatsoever.

Apparently not else you would be able to explain the fallacy.

It appears asking you to read a few pages was too much of a chore, yet you allegedly pride yourself on research. I find this very telling.

So who is the true observer?

The astronaut or you (the self-proclaimed critical thinker)?

You speak as if not a single astronomer attests to the ET presence. As if though the likes of Stanton Friedman and Philip Corso don't exist?  I'm sure they would have never achieved their status if it weren't for their critical thinking.

I think it depends on what you mean by critical thinking. The critic himself has a much easier job than the innovator or the explorer. Its much easier to deconstruct something and find holes in it than to create or discover something yourself.

I think it's more like two people looking at the same set of evidence, and coming out with two different answers. Everyone should be looking at points of interest from different perspectives, and deconstructing everything they think they know about it in order to see it more clearly and in turn produce better conclusions. Plus, we're talking ET's here - no one's 'discovering' anything on this forum, the evidence has already been weighed, everything else is subjective.

Its clear to me that ET's are real and are watching us.

We are ET's ourselves, we also study all other beings and send UFO's to other planets to collect data.

I'm as certain of that as I'm certain that I'm typing this.

People that don't realize whats happening generally don't want to realize whats happening. Its a big ego dent for a man to think that space men could be more intelligent than us and that we are completely at their mercy.

What makes you think that ET's are watching us?

And who would be stupid enough to believe that an alien who masters space travel across thousands or millions of light years could be less intelligent than us? Surely not a Shroomerite

There are some crazy story's on the internet, but in the end, the internet is the home of fabrication. Anything i read on the internet, i take as a grain of salt. If me or someone i trusted saw an alien, then i would believe it. Its not impossible, but why would i believe something without clear evidence? I may speculate, but there's a big difference between speculation and flat-out believing.

Don't trust what you see and hear on the net. Did you know that some people see creating UFO hoaxes as a kind of hobby? Interesting videos all the same, the hypnotism bit in the first one was really disturbing. Because from my point of view, sadly children do get abducted, not by aliens but by demented human beings. I think its possible that some how that guys mind has turned a horrible event which happened to him as a child into something he finds easier to cope with. Think about it, the "abduction" the "forced sex" and the feeling of violation. Its tragic, but i think that person may have turned the humans who abducted and abused him as child into aliens. Because in a strange way aliens are easier to cope with because they are distant and separate from our experience.

That doesn't explain the "round house" saucer they saw or the fact his brother also saw the same thing.

They would of both had to of created the fantasy that it was aliens together. This seems possible although unlikely.

I think some things should just be taken at face value. We can make up excuses for abduction, we can say its just sleep paralysis but that would be completely ignoring the people that experience it whilst awake.

It seems more logical to me to just accept that many cases some being is taking people. I agree that some are hoaxed, some are attention seekers but also some are real.

Often, the claims against these events require a much bigger logic jump than that required to take them at face value!

OK, I think that it may be necessary to clarify something...

By "ET Presence" do you mean the existence, somewhere in the Universe, of some form of life that is non-terrestrial?  Or do you mean the presence of intelligent, extra-terrestrial beings on our planet?

I think it is extremely likely that some form of life exists somewhere else in the Universe.  We do not have the capability to explore and discover these life forms, but I do think that they exist.

However, to state that these life forms are intelligent interstellar travelers who have come to Earth, abducted humans, conducted covert operations, etc...is simply not supported by the evidence.  The idea is incredibly entertaining, and I've watched hundreds of TV shows and movies about ET's living among us, beginning with "Mork and Mindy" when I was a mere sprout.

I will say this, though, I truly like the idea of friendly aliens coming to visit.  I would not deny solid evidence, nor would I call people insane for presenting such evidence.  My issue with the current "evidence" is that it is not solid, by any stretch of the imagination.

Personally I dont understand the fascination with alien visitors to earth. Our planet teems with intelligent life forms of every imaginable shape size and level of complexity. Countless beings on this planet, literally billions, have not yet been classified, discovered or recorded. Of the ones that have, attempts to understand or communicate with them have been far from exhaustive.

Lets say that aliens are flying around over my head right now. What matters it? how does this empower me to live my life? how does it change my needs or desires? How does it alter my goals and dreams?

Its interesting, sure. To me not as interesting as earthly biology or human psychology, at least until they stop hiding and come make some direct contact with me or mine.

Excellent points, Moonshoe!

It seems odd that people devote so much energy to the idea of extraterrestrial life, while terrestrial life is in trouble.  Why not channel all that excitement and obsession into conservation efforts?  Humans are weird.

I agree that the existence of other life forms would not alter my ideas regarding philosophy or spirituality.  (Probably because my current ideas are based in science and psychology, which would not alter due to ET showing up & offering me a Reeses. )
