I'm well aware of this, Mesopotamia anyone, but I'm not aware of any information that amanitas, or any other psychadelic mushrooms, occur naturally in the area. Obviously I haven't researched into this, but I'm wondering if anyone has.... :sherlock:

There's no way man...Psilocybin mushrooms grow all over the world, at all times, E doesn't grow anywhere and wasn't in use until 40 +/- years ago.

I don't know about mushrooms, but I am certain that cannabis grows in the region, and while smoking pot may yield a mild high, some concoctions of hashish can be outright psychedelic.

Am I degrading the discussion, or do you simply not understand/appreciate the point that I am conveying? I respect your opinions, but that doesn't mean that they are not open for full review.

Now, no, I do not have any information to provide regarding the theories that you have speculated upon. I haven't seen any information in regards to these theories in this thread (pertaining to the one I questioned specifically).

My point is very valid, and I will make it very simple for you to recognize: Is the notion that E was synthesized by the Jews back during Biblical times any more subsantiated than the notion that Jesus consumed amanita mushrooms? Yes, or no?

well I'd certainly say no..they did not have the technology, but the chance of them finding a naturally occurring mushroom which they didn't have to synthesize but simply stumble upon seems much more likely.

I think there is a difference between plausibility and possibility, sure, but, ultimately, I haven't seen any evidence that either was used by the Jews. That's the point - they are both equally possible in regards to all the information that has been presented. :wink:

The Theories of Amanitas and Christianty, Sufi and Islamic mushrooms cult, and lets throw the "Fuirt of knowledge being a psychedelic theory" in there too; they all are POSSIBLE, the idea that jews used XTC is impossible...

If anyone has any infromation on this please say something, I'll try doing some searchs...I'd appreciate it if everyone esle did the same. I've only heard a few things about each of these therioes.

I'm interested in hearing more information as well. Within almost every major religion, there is an inner experience that is really being referred to, encapsulated within all of the literal misrepresentations, practices, and rituals. Its like pointing to the moon with one's finger in that regard. Its likely that psychadelics have their hand in this. I will pm a link to Markosthegnostic and see if he has anything valuable to contribute, if he hasn't already. :wink:
