Student Manifesto
    #6795436 -

Auto-Summary
The "Student Manifesto" is a critical reflection on the current state of universities in the United States. The author argues that universities have been transformed into worker training facilities, focusing on specialized knowledge rather than broad-based understanding, and that this system perpetuates the status quo by instilling fear and hate in students. The manifesto calls for students to unite in pursuit of truth and love, challenging the corrupt system that seeks to maintain control through division and manipulation. The author also highlights historical examples of CIA-backed coups, such as the 1951 overthrow of Iran's Prime Minister, to illustrate how the "Beast" (a metaphor for the corrupt system) has influenced world events. The manifesto concludes by urging students to awaken to this reality, engage in an information war, and work towards a new age of Truth and Love.

The Student Manifesto
4/16/2007

I am disgusted by what I see around me. Universities are supposed to be the center of knowledge, learning, and progressive thought. Look at what we have become. Do we come together in unity to discuss the issues plaguing our world? Or are we purposely divided? I see two major problems with the current state of universities in this country.
Corruption. Is today's massacre at Virginia Tech any surprise to you? Look at the state of our universities in this country. Drug and alcohol abuse are rampant. Actual learning is shoved aside in favor of last minute aderol induced 'study' sessions whose sole purpose is to shove enough information in one's brain to pass an exam, then promptly forget it. Walk through campus and look around you. What do you see? Are we coming together in unity to pursue knowledge? To pursue change in this world. We are the youth, the young people of this nation. If we are to effect change in our time, we must unite in the pursuit of truth and love. We must get beyond the fear that separates us, and use love to spread truth to the world.
Universities have been and are being transformed from centers of knowledge exchange into massive worker training facilities. We are trained to work, to become an effective cog in the system. We are specialized to the point that we come out of university lacking the broad-based knowledge necessary for the proper understanding of world affairs. If people were able to truly understand what the system is, then they would not be training at universities to perpetuate it. We would be coming together using the power of truth and love to effect change in the world.
What is this system? We are taught from the time we are little that humans are naturally sinful, that we need social institutions such as government, religion, and business to keep us in line. That without these institutions, the human race would degenerate into an orgy of ignorant violence. We think "thank god for the government, what would we do without it?" Is this really the case? Do you have that little faith in yourselves as intelligent human beings?
We have a problem. The Beast is deeply ingrained within our current system. Think I am exaggerating when I call it the Beast? Learn more. Become symbolically literate to understand the language of the Beast. Know its methods. Divide and conquer. The Beast knows that if people were to come together in pursuit Love and Truth, we would forget the differences that separate us and realize that diversity is beauty. The Beast perpetuates fear and hate. If it can keep humans divided against one another, it can keep the population in a state of servitude. Problem Reaction Solution. The Beast knows that in order to create change, the population must be either willing, or too divided and dumb to resist. We are not yet too divided and dumb, so the Beast must fool us into backing its designs.
First, the Beast creates a problem. I will use the example of Iran. In 1951 Mohammed Mossadeq was Prime Minister of Iran. He was a very progressive leader, and would have done much to further the development of Iranian industry and culture. In that year, he attempted to nationalize Iran's oil production in order to give some of the wealth generated by Iran's oil back to Iran. This did not please the British and American overlords. They decided that Iran had no business deciding the fate of its oil, and so replaced the secular Mossadeq with a non-secular shah. First, they assasinated Mossadeq's character. They made him appear as a demon in the British and Western press. Second, they sent CIA operatives into Iran to spread mis- and dis-information. Finally, operatives worked with Iranian radicals to oust Mossadeq and install a puppet dictator. In case one is unfamiliar with this subject, CIA backed coups are the norm for many countries in this world. Iraq is a very similar situation, Hussein having been trained as a CIA operative while in Egypt in his youth.
The current situations we find ourselves dealing with in Iraq and Iran were planned long before the media told us about it.
Second, the public reacts to the created situation. The media, of course, does not tell us about Mossadeq or Hussein's CIA links. They spin us a picture designed to evoke fear and hate, while purposley concealing the truth. Some of the population is only too happy to play along with the act. They cry out for action, that something must be done. The current puppet dictator is compared to a modern day Hitler, and outrageous claims are made against him. We do not bother to ask how he got into power in the first place, we just know that he must be ousted now. If the majority of the American population paid attention to the past 30 years, we would have known that as recently as the mid 1980s Saddam Hussein was our 'ally'. It is the public's ignorance which enables The Beast to get away with this trick over and over. The Beast is by no means an innovator. It has relied on the same methods for thousands of years, and relies on our lack of knowledge and motivation, rather than its own ingenuity. This is its weakness, and how it will be defeated.
Third, solution. A problem is manufactured, the population then demands the action (the same action the Beast desired in the first place), and the Beast is only too happy to oblige. We just keep playing along. War, bigger government, taxes, it does not matter. The results are always the same. The solution always benefits the Beast.
It is time to stop. A Great Awakening is coming upon the human race. We are living in special times. Deny this if you wish, but if you choose not to open your eyes to that which is all around you, you might miss out on a very special event for us as humans.
We have reached a point of no turning back. The collective consciousness of humanity is beginning to awaken. The Beast relies on ignorance, fear and hate. These are the tools it uses to manipulate us into serving it. NO LONGER! Truth and Love are the answer, TRUTH AND LOVE! We are now in the process of coming together. Most do not yet even realize it, as it is a hard thing to see. Notice the little things. We are being sent a message of Truth and Love, so listen to it.
The first battle we must fight is within ourselves. This is a constant struggle, human nature if you will. But it is winnable. Again, I cannot overstate the importance of Truth and Love. Always seek truth. Do not say it, do not think it, if you know it to be false. Truth in all things. Love. Love all human beings, even those that hate you. It is the message that Christ figures have been trying to deliver to us for thousands of years. Do not rely on the controlled media to tell you what truth is. Do not rely on government, do not rely on teachers, do not rely on friends and family. If you wish to know Truth, seek it out within yourself. Study the world around you. Think! Make your own decisions. Fear and hate should not exist. They are corruption, they are poison to the human mind. Why fear, why hate? Because we do not understand? But this is our condition as humans. We enter this world with a lack of understanding, and our ultimate goal here is to achieve understanding. Fear and hate prevent understanding. Through pursuit of Truth and Love, we can make fear and hate things of the past.
The second battle we must fight is an information war. People are ignorant. They have been purposely dumbed down for years by the media, religion, and other social constructs. They are not dumb, they simply lack information. After we awaken the universities (hopefully we'll be ready by the end of summer 2007), we must engage in an information war the likes of which the world has never seen. Universities are the key in our struggle, because information is our weaponry. The media, the government, and law enforcement have always been obstacles to our pursuit of truth and justice, and the coming years will prove to be no different. However, with our system of universities we have a network which has already been set up to facilitate the spread of information. We need only use what we have been provided with, and we can evoke great change.
Americans are beginning to realize that corporate media is a joke, and more importantly that government by nature is corrupt. This will be a confusing time. Great Awakenings are often preceded by periods of great upheaval. The human consciousness is realizing the absurdity of our situation. We are coming into the realization that we have the power to determine our circumstances, the power to change the world. No longer will we live in blissful ignorance, letting world leaders determine our fate. It is time to come together and cast down those who would hold us in bondage. We must realize that they hold no real power. Theirs are the dark arts. They manipulate humanity into thinking that they hold the power and we hold none. This is precicely how they gain their power, tricking us into thinking the Beast has power and we do not. In believing that the Beast has power over us, we give it power over us. Do you now see how simple it is? The only power the Beast has is the power that we give it. That is why the personal battle comes first. If you can get beyond hate, fear, and ignorance, then the Beast no longer has power over you.
Truth and Love. It is our duty as the last generation of this age to awaken the world. We will right the wrongs of our fathers. Where they have failed, we will succeed. It is our duty, it is our destiny. We will come together in unity, humans throughout the world standing together in brotherhood, preaching a message of Truth and Love. No longer will we allow ourselves to be manipulated into perpetual servitude, willingly giving away our human nature in exchange for fear and ignorance. We now stand united as brothers and sisters. We will learn from the past, live in the present, and work toward a better future. The road ahead may be confusing and it may be difficult, but we have already won. A new age of Truth and Love is dawning, the scope of which is beyond our present understanding. But it is there, below the surface of perception, waiting for you and I to release it to the world. Truth and Love.

I laughed off my parents' arguments that if the government ever laid down its arms, all hell would break loose. Our competing predictions were put to the test at 8:00 A.M. on October 17, 1969, when the Montreal police went on strike. By 11:20 A.M. the first bank was robbed. By noon most downtown stores had been closed because of looting. Within a few more hours, taxi drivers burned down the garage of a limousine service that had competed with them for airport customers, a rooftop sniper killed a provincial police officer, rioters broke into several hotels and restaurants, and a doctor slew a burglar in his suburban home. By the end of the day, six banks had been robbed, a hundred shops had been looted, twelve fires had been set, forty carloads of storefront glass had been broken, and three million dollars in property damage had been inflicted, before city authorities had to call the army and, of course, the Mounties to restore order. This decisive empirical test left my politics in tatters (and offered a foretaste of life as a scientist.)"

Really trying to burn that one in. You remind me of Patrick Swayze's character in Donnie Darko. At least you have good intentions.

It directly addresses one of the first points you raise in your Manifesto --

Quote:
We are taught from the time we are little that humans are naturally sinful, that we need social institutions such as government, religion, and business to keep us in line. That without these institutions, the human race would degenerate into an orgy of ignorant violence. We think "thank god for the government, what would we do without it?" Is this really the case?

The Montreal incident illustrates pretty plainly that yeah... it is really the case.

Truth and Love Truth and Love Truth and Love Truth and Love works pretty well...

...as long as everyone -- and I do mean EVERYONE -- buys into it. Otherwise, not so much. It only takes one asshole to show that Truth and Love don't do a hell of a lot to protect you and your loved ones from those who scoff at Truth and Love. And of course, there's a whole lot more than one asshole out there. Always has been, always will be.

always has been, always will be with attitude like that.

Change is part of our nature as humans. We have the ability to change our physical surroundings as well as our inner selves. I am not saying a change on such a massive scale will be easy. I am saying that change on such a massive scale is necessary, and that it won't get done if we don't do it.
People are not inherently sinful. Current society perpetuates the sinful nature of humans. I just happen to believe that we can right our wrongs and get humanity back on track.

Well if what you're saying is true, then we should be at a more violent point in human history in the present, then in the past, due to the rise of government institutions. If you look at statistics of tribal societies vs. modern society's for example, you will see that ancient tribes were much more violent then modern:

Quote:
Science reveals a rather different picture of humanity in its natural state. In a 1996 study University of Michigan ecologist Bobbi S. Low analyzed 186 pre-industrial societies and discovered that their relatively low environmental impact is the result of low population density, inefficient technology and lack of profitable markets, not conscious efforts at conservation. Anthropologist Shepard Krech III, in his 1999 book The Ecological Indian, shows that in a number of Native American communities, large-scale irrigation practices led to the collapse of their societies.

Even the reverence for big game animals that we have been told was held by Native Americans is a fallacy--many believed that common game animals such as elk, deer, caribou, beaver and especially buffalo would be physically reincarnated, thus easily replaced, by the gods. Given the opportunity to hunt big game animals to extinction, they did. The evidence is now overwhelming that many large mammals went extinct at the same time that the first Americans began to populate the continent.

Ignoble savages were nasty to one another as well as to their environments. Surveying primitive and civilized societies, University of Illinois anthropologist Lawrence H. Keeley, in his 1996 book War before Civilization, demonstrates that prehistoric war was, relative to population densities and fighting technologies, at least as frequent (measured in years at war versus years at peace), as deadly (determined by percentage of deaths resulting from conflict) and as ruthless (judged by the killing and maiming of noncombatants, women and children) as modern war. One pre-Columbian mass grave in South Dakota, for example, yielded the remains of 500 scalped and mutilated men, women and children.

The Ignoble Savage:Science reveals humanity's heart of darkness

Quote:
The doctrine of the noble savage has been undermined by a revolution in our understanding of non-state societies. Many intellectuals believe that violence and war among hunter-gatherers is rare or ritualistic, and that the battle is called to a halt as soon as the first man falls. But studies that actually count the dead bodies have shown that the homicide rates among prehistoric peoples are orders of magnitude higher than the ones in modern societies—even taking into account the statistics from two world wars! We also have evidence that nasty traits such as psychopathy, violent tendencies, a lack of conscientiousness, and an antagonistic personality, are to a large extent heritable. And there are mechanisms in the brain, probably shared across primates, that underlie violence. All these suggest that what we don't like about ourselves can't just be blamed on the institutions of a particular society.

http://www.edge.org/documents/archive/edge105.html

Violent behavior is a part of our DNA, it's not wholly created by our social institutions.

It has nothing to do with Phred and everything to do with human nature. There will always be people that try to get to the top at the expense of others. This is why communism and socialism can't work. They are nice dreams, but people are people.

> Violent behavior is a part of our DNA, it's not wholly created by our social institutions.

Exactly. Not just violence, but the desire to have a "better life", even at the expense of others... which tends to lead back to violence, eventually.

much more violent then modern:

~They were more violent because they needed to be to survive. We have come to the point of humanity where violence is no longer necessary for survivil. Violence is outdated. Maybe certain tribes were more violent on average than society today, but we have one major tribe with the capability to kill every single human on earth. This goes beyond sticks and stones.

There will always be people that try to get to the top at the expense of others.

~This is your opinion. Once again, just because something has always been done in a certain way does not mean it must be done that way for the rest of eternity. The idea here is that humans can change. Cooperation rather than competition. People are people and people have the capability to change.

Afraid? No. Brainwashed? A term used only by the weak. Automatically confront those who believe change is impossible? Only pie in the sky nitwits espousing change I don't consider desirable or possible. Some change is possible. Yours is not. Compare you to evil? No, just distrust your stability. Manifestos being typically the product of the, let's say, more agitated amongst us. Why would you equate diligence with fear? Do you expect us to be ostriches?

Of course you have. In case you missed it, or are an overwhelming narcissist (which, judging by the fact that you have a "manifesto", may be the case) that is roughly the condition of every 5 year old. Actually, 2 year olds have generally experienced frustration. Disillusionment tends to wait til 5. And disappointed narcissists are probably the biggest class of sociopaths there is.

EsKregg,

I was in your exact shoes about 6 months ago. It became startlingly obvious that the role of university education is simply to prepare cogs of the economic beast. I had a powerful awakening and was blessed and cursed to actually see where truth and love lead...to a world beyond anything imaginnable...

What you have to realize about people these days is that they are entirely motivated by incentives. If there's no incentive to change, if people feel as though they're giving up anything, they simply will not change. Humans thrive off predictability and comfort and will not give this up for *almost* anything. Nor will they take responsibility for their actions so long as they're told to keep consuming and being ignorant. This is the unfortunate truth of human nature. Yes, there are a handful of people who think like you and I do, and yes, we can create change, vastly beyond anything you've imagined. Unfortunatley, even after you come to understand this in its entirety, nobody will believe you. This is where I'm at. I've been writing a book that shares much of the sentiment of your post.

I hope you stick with your thinking. Don't be discouraged by people who want to write you off. The blind can't see their own blindness. Change is evolution and this is our deepest desire. Many a generation have desired to move away from the vortex of consuerism and american lifestyle, have given up everything in this attempt, only to find no light at the end of the tunnel. I can tell you that there IS light there, that this desire to change DOES in fact lead to fucking heaven, and it is only through 'truth and love' as you say that we will get there. Congrats, you're very close to mastering life. I bet you'll also come to soon see that everything is happening perfectly. Try to relax and not go overboard too much though. I did and I really fucked myself by doing so.

Human nature has to evolve or we will plunge into cataclysm. Maybe not for 20 years but it WILL happen the way we're headed. If anyone thinks technology will be our savior you are ignorant. I hope for nothing greater than my generation coming to our fucking senses about what we're doing.

I'm not sure if you have any experience with DMT but I reccomend it for you. Many of us DMT smokers are quite aware of this wave that is starting. It's all connected to the DMT world.

Good luck bro.

~How am I brainwashed? Once again, claiming that I am things without backing up claims. I am trying to do my best here okay. I don't have all the answers, no one does. But at least I'm doing something to create change. I may not know the best way yet, but my attitude at 20: desiring to help my fellow man and help change the world, seems to be better than yours at 40: demeaning young people trying to evoke change in the wolrd. And no, they are not THAT competent because they do not have to be. They do just as much as they need to put ideas into the heads of the public, and the public does the rest. Please, tell me what you know about CIA and media conditioning. If you know so much about it, please let me know how and why it is not a big issue for most of the SHEEPLE in America.
~What are you talking about comparing Truth Love and Peace to punk rock and rough sex? Cause rock stars say so?
~Religion is a world building and maintaining system, just like government. Why do you think it is perpetuated?

Change is evolution and this is our deepest desire. Human nature has to evolve or we will plunge into cataclysm;
Many of us DMT smokers are quite aware of this wave that is starting. It's all connected to the DMT world.

~First of all, thank you cilosyb. I was beginning to wonder if anyone would read my writing. I know I've still got questions and that things are not completely clear to me yet. I will continue to pursue Truth through love and non-violence, and hopefully I will continue to awaken and see things clearly. I have not experimented with DMT as of yet, but I am becoming more and more aware of this 'wave' as you describe it. I feel it just below the surface of consciousness and perception. It is there for those who look for it, I think. Good luck with your book and in all you do cilosyb.

P.S. I also dislike the word sheeple, but how can anyone deny that many Americans are dumbed-down exploited mind-slaves?
