trout fishing?
    #6694485 -

Anyonehere do trout fishing?

I've recently taken this up and last time I went I caught a big fat trout but just as I was reeling it out of the water the line snapped and I lost it!

I've only been bait fishing but I know alot of people prefer fly.

I've been going to my local fishery here in Scotland and it costs £10 for 2 hours of fishing or £15 for 4 hours...

That's like $20 2 hrs and $30 4hrs in USD.

Hell yea!

Im going to try my hand at fly fishing this Spring season.

If its fun catching em on a normal spinning reel, I can only imagine the fight they will put up on a fly rod

As for losing your fish, what pound test are you using? Also, gotta have that drag set really low, give em the time to wear em down and tire em out too......

Sweet fish!

Iam actually just about to go fishing now..

Schwip - I am using 6 pound line.
My big trout probably got away cause I tried to lift it staight out of water without a net, which caused the line to snap.

Well I just got back from the fishery and I caught 2 trout!
No pics as I've just decapitated them and forgot to take pics first.

One of them is 2lb 2oz and the other was only 1lb 12oz.Both are rainbows.

I'll be having them for dinner tonight..........
