Steve O is a French/Polish hairy bastard!~

but he has the heart of gold...

he is always there when you need a friend...

and he is always stoned...fucker can smoke some serious weed!~

and he is a great fishing buddy!~

I told a story about him in the Pub a few years ago...

Steve O flipped out when he was in the Army...during the first Desert Storm.

He walked into a lounge in the barracks and unloaded 2 clips from his M-16 into a couch!~
(yeah you heard me right...he shot up a couch)...lolzz

He was taken by MP's to the Base Commander and asked why he did what he did...

Steve O's response..."Well I figgured it was better to shoot the couch than my mother fucking LT. that doesn't know his head from an asshole!~"
***I still chuckle when I think about this***

They gave him a medical discharge from the Military...
Full benifits, $2400 a month for life, medical, dental...basically the works.

So he doesn't have to work...
and he goes fishing with me and a few other friends alot.

He is not the same person that he was before snapping...
he is on medication and really needs to be monitored closely.
And his doctor thinks that his weed smoking is a good thing for him...
since it helps keep him mellow.

Every now and then he has a bad day...
and he flakes out...like not showing up.
or staring at his truck for an hour...which happens quite a bit.
He has gone off on me once...and I didn't talk to him for 2 weeks til he apoligized to me.

But like I said...
He is a great person and a wonderful friend.
And we all(his friends)try to look past his bad moments...
and look at the wonderful person that he truely is.

I love him like a brother...
and he has been there for me during some really rough times in my life!~

lolzz

you might see me snap instead!~

I got a phone call from Steve O a little earlier today...
he cancelled out on our yearly camping trip at the last minute.

We were suppose to leave tomorrow morning....for 4 days.

He probably needs some fuckin meds!~

I'm sorta pissed off...
but thats how he acts when he trips out!~

He will regret not going...
and you never know...
he might end up showing up while we are up there!~
he has before!~
:smirk:

So I'm taking Jake up to Lost Lake in the morning for 4 days anyway!~

We don't need Steve O to have a good time!~

RR is too busy with making his Videos to go up.

And everyone else is working <--hate that word!~
:smirk:

We should be able to catch some nice Donaldsons, Triploids, Browns, Bull trout...
and I'll take my crawfish pot up to get some crawfish too.

The fish usually average between 2 to 4 pounds each...with a lunker here and there!~

My record for Lost Lake was 19 fish in 2 hours one day...

I'll take some pictures...and post em when I get back home.

see ya in 4 or 5 days...

tight lines!~

MAHI-MAHI
Coryphaena hippurus

Mahi-mahi is a Hawaiian word that means "strong-strong" for dolphin fish. This species is found in tropical and subtropical waters throughout the world. Generally, smaller dolphin fish range from 2-5 pounds, while 40-50 pound fish are not uncommon. Dolphin fish have a short life span of three or four years.

Dolphin fish are not to be confused with porpoises, which at times are also called dolphin. Dolphin fish (mahi-mahi) are cold-blooded members of the fish family, while porpoises are mammals and are protected by law. The mahi-mahi is a beautiful fish also known as "dorado". The fish has green and gold flanks that light up with a rainbow of iridescent colors that fade with time. Many retailers will display whole mahi-mahi because they are so striking and to help dispel the myth that they are related to Flipper.

According to Seafood Leader's 1992 Buyers' Guide (March/April issue), mahi-mahi occupy a place at the top of the food chain. They like to consume everything from flying fish to crabs, shrimp, squid, mackerel, and other small fish. At first, most mahi-mahi were a by-catch (incidental catch) in the tuna/swordfish longline fishery. Now they are sough after by commercial fishermen off the Pacific Coast of Latin America, from Peru to Costa Rica; the Ecuadorians have a growing fishery. Recreational anglers also catch mahi-mahi offshore in the Atlantic Ocean from New Jersey to North Carolina and farther south.

CULINARY DESCRIPTION

Mahi-mahi is an exceptionally versatile fish, having firm, white meat and a delicate flavor. Broiled, poached, baked, sautéed, grilled, or pan-fried, mahi-mahi delivers a truly sensational taste. The National Fisheries Institute suggests that you try mahi-mahi as an appetizer. Cut the fish into squares, marinate them in lime juice, and broil them with garlic butter. As a main course, baked mahi-mahi served with a sweet-and-sour sauce is sure to win rave reviews from family and friends. Mahi-mahi is one of those fish that is wonderful just about any way you can think to prepare it -- from the simple to the complex, minimal ingredients to multiple ingredients, subtle to strong flavors. I love to use seafood in traditional meat and poultry dishes, and I know seafood tacos are not new, but made with mahi-mahi, they're great!

I personally like Blackened mahi-mahi the best!~

I've been out fishing the past 2 days for Coho on the Duwamish/Green river...

I'll post some pictures when I get back tonight or tomorrow.

The Indians have the nets out!~
2 nets were strung across the whole river...the 1st day. <--illegal.
I ran one over with my boat and had to cut the net to get loose...
that was a real mess.

I'm headin out the door to go fishing right now...
talk to you later Sucky!~

<`///><

Fish on!~
