Please tell me about the SPIRIT/BODY connection

I realized tonight I need to study this connection.  Where the spirit world intersects with the physical one...where the physical world collides with the spiritual one.  If you believe in this or not. 

I just need to hear about it.  I've recently come to "see" that my physical diseases and ailments have a spiritual cause.  (because our spirits create our bodies?)

Anyway, I'm just spouting off.  Please share.  Help me understand this connection between our spirits and our bodies.  :tongue: :heart: :mushroom2:

Well, I've been using chakras to help me understand it better, but I still feel like there must be much MUCH more.

I guess I'm not looking to solve anything. More like, please tell me any available theories or simply guesses.

I don't care. I just need to discuss. It's like I feel this connection so aptly, but I need to figure it out. I need to understand it, get a metaphor for what is happening, put the "IS/IS-NOT" into words.

I'd just like to understand the relationship between my spirit and body better.

what works for me is assuming they are the same thing. you can throw mind in there too.

for a long time i had terrible psychosomatic pains and would get sick alot.  as i healed my mind my body stopped hurting (as much...).

don't know if thats exactly what you mean.


edit: although i do not believe that chakra's are literally real, i used them as as a template for mapping myself for so long that now the idea of a chakra system is totally ingrained :smile:

I imagine if you actually have a 'spirit' it would be consciousness that which transcends the physical body and gives you an awareness of self beyond the physical aspects that give you life, life is consciousness, as consciousness continues to evolve then our beings becomes more alive,

for life is relative, such as trees are alive, but only to a certain degree, animals are alive but only to certain degree, to degree their just preprogrammed images, my belief is that we're more alive when comparing us to animals, because we are more conscious and self aware, and this awareness continues to grow and expand, until it becomes omnipotent, in which it transcends mortal boundaries, for meaning and thought have no limitations and no restrictions, as our being dissolves and our egos fades, death becomes life and life becomes death, the divergence of each conjoin and there becomes no life or death, because the meaning that which we relate to reality becomes inferior, as we dissolve we evolve,

evolution of meaning becomes the extinction of meaning, for our evolution to become, it becomes a dissolution of our being, death is just as much an evolutionary change as its a change due to extinction, but this evolution is what cause the extinction to occur, because meaning fades to superior meaning, concepts fade to nothingness as our being evolve and dissolve, we become one with the universe, but yet we're conscious as an individual entity, that resides in eternity, everything is us and us is everything, even empty space, nothing is apart from that which exists,

To be honest, I feel like I'm on my way to becoming a type of shaman (or, I don't know, SOMETHING is happening) and I need to know about how the two worlds of our reality (inner and outer) effect one another.  I mean, I think I can see it, but I just need to talk about it for awhile to see what may possibly be going on during this strange period of growth. :confused: :tongue:

I derived alot of what I gathered through the use of shrooms, reaching level 5 showed me alot about reality, everything becomes insignificant, to be honest, most that which people bicker about is useless, much of politics and religion is the biggest waste of energy in human kind, the better endeavor of humans is understanding that which gives purpose, evolution will continue to be hampered without revelant goals,

if indivdual advancment becomes exponential then life as you know it will become utterly alien, as meaning is so much more indepth, concepts have limitless potiential, but this will change everything, certain concepts will have no signficance, such as time, and without time, then you can through out patience, and basically anything conceivable at this stage,

Exactly, it's that total "level five" experience which has led me to question and decipher the entire THING between spirit/body.

It's like I see how the spiritual manifests itself into the physical. I'm not sure if this is weird or what, but I'd just like to learn about the connection and whatnot so that I can understand it further.

I feel like I'm on the cusp of something, but I'm not sure what.

mind and body is one thing
spirit is like mathematics -
it is like the square of self and like the square root of self:
when one acts with sensitivity to these spiritual aspects, it seems that one radiates a prime array, or that a fibbonici sequence of self is projected into the world where others who are sensitive will notice.
the idea of this math or karma seems hardwired in our mind/bodies.
we like to see the effects through time of what is not just material but also animated and sublime.

really I'm just as much in the dark about the spirit and body connection as anyone else, if there is a spirit or soul, I hope there is, if not then the atheist view of non existence of self will occur IMO, because if the 5 senses that gather sensory data and the brain goes out then their is no me to distinguish my existence apart from the whole,

as much as I can gather is that the spirit is the unknown that bridges the gap between our physical mechanics and life, if we're purely physical then our beings would be nothing more than robots, although I've had the robotic trip, in which life was completely dead, and I was rigid to adhere to my own physical mechanics, although I did say life is only alive to a certain degree, to higher or more evolved consious we're merely mindless animals in our own right, with no more free will than our feeble minds allows us,

i once made it my quest to seek out the people who make reality. i met one of them, and then much later met a group of them. the first person i have no clue what was going on and have forgoten most of it to keep myself sane, the second group i was tripping when i met them, and i realised that they were limited creators, and probably had all randomly come together at that moment to decide the future. i challenged thier collective reality and found the key to unknot what they were hiding.
then i went to sleep and when i woke up the next day i had lost all interest in finding the poeple who make reality.

yeah random story but its like 7am here...

edit: what is up with you redgreenvines? you're my favorite poster on the shroomery. i would like to meet you someday perhaps at a gathering or something. i've been watching for a long time waiting for you to make some post like, "yo what up its sunday i'm just drinking a beer and watching baseball" or whatever. i don't watch to closely, but i'm pretty sure i've never seen anything so plain from you. you've gotten borderline normal a couple times though.

you're very spot on in how you see things, and you understand that delivery is as important as content. i like that.

edit2: i mean, who is this person that does disciplined daily salvia usage? you're on the shroomery almost every day, your posts are helpful and relevent. registered in 04? did you have another account before that i could research?

Spirit, is the connection of the physical ones?

I envision wrapping myself from the inside out on the physical, almost as double exposing, yet inverted in some twisted way.

I belive that the body is simply the "seat" of the spirit or soul. Between your eyes and an inch back is where your spirit resides. This is where your conciousness lives and works. If your body is in good health and works with your mind, your spirit has the freedom to do as it wishes and grow. If illness strikes (either caused by the spirit, body or external forces) than the spirit has more difficulty exploring the world we exist in. This is what my yoga practice has taught me and I belive it gives me strength.

It feels like the body/spirit are INTRICATELY woven into one another.

Well, here's how I see it:



This circle represents reality. The perimeter of the circle is the physical universe. The center represents the Ground of Being, what Gnostics call the "pleroma," or "fullness of God." It is the infinite potential of all things, a source which underlies their finite manifestation in the physical realm. The line connecting the center to the perimeter is the emanation from the ideal to the real. Each point on the line represents a different level of manifestation, with perfect(infinite) potential on one end and imperfect(finite) manifestations on the other. Through spiritual practice and experiences, we can learn to connect to our higher, more perfect levels of being.

how is it that each species on earth evolves for its own needs yet the earth remains in equilibrium in terms of the food chain, ect..?

why did ramana maharishi sit so still?

is their any significance in the coincidence that leaves on a tree die as our skin cells die? that like all other life on earth we depend on the sun? that the sound of a rock falling into the water has the same source as the words coming from my mouth? that throughout the day we wake up and go to sleep as the sun rises and sets? that the moon becomes whole once a month and then goes back to where it came from by coming from where it left from?
