I'm not saying that I'm only chemical, I'll try and lay it out better...
I am the holy spirit. I am the matrix. There is a body which is being manipulated on the earthly plane, and that body I now see as not myself at all, nor the container of my spirit, but a chemical cocktail that is used as a tool. Too many people associate themselves as being those chemicals. They think: "I am ______ and I am practicing _______ so that I can get in touch with _______." I used to think, "I am ______ and I am a Canadian..." but now I realize that the body is not me at all, but just a familiar tool.
Do you see what I mean now?

The spirit is everywhere. The spirit is everything. It does not need sustanance, because it is sustanance...
To say that I am the matrix is to say that I am life, not that I give answers. You are the matrix as well, everyone and everything is. It is the same as the "circle of life".

I think you're wrong there... We are not all seperate spirits... hmmm, the only way I think you might see this is through trancendal (sp?) meditation, or through an ego dissolving psychedelic experience. Then you could see that you are everything that ever was and ever will be... (Of course that doesn't give "you" a lot of power, the chemical storage that you think is your identity and your will is meaningless in this regard. "You" could never swing the power, because to do so you'd have to transcend, and when in transcendance you are no longer "you" anymore...).

Enter, no offence, but you are totally missing the point of what I'm saying. I'm not talking about your chemical body, I'm talking about the spirit, the matrix, that is us.
Not any of this stuff:

I understand that you think that's the truth, just as I think that blah blah blah is the truth. (Didn't feel like typing it all up again...)
If my (and others) theory is correct, then what you think you are right now is nothing more than a bunch of chemical induced "memories" and feelings. That's not to say that you are only a machine, quite the opposite, your body is just a "vessel" for the spirit to work. When people live in their "minds" they isolate themselves from the spirit.

I'm too tired to make a full post, but I need to see if my icon is working. I will say this..
We are all individual spirits, but we are all connected to the same web of life. We are all a part of the same spirit (Creation) and each individual is just Creation's way of experiencing and expressing life in different ways. In the end, there is only one spirit. Think of it as a single entity, with 6 billion ways of expressing itself. (on Earth)

mmm, I guess I didn't go through the singularity that was created by the ever-narrowing spiral that was created as I follows each of my thoughts to their origin. It was a bit like pulling the plug in the bathtub and just feeling everyghing run out.
And with this I think I say thank you for an interesting thread. It kind of died for me with all the bible-lingo. But thanks to you, enter, for making me think a bit about what my spirit needs to sustain itself.

Not accepted by the Scientific Community? That's a big surprise. A couple hundred years ago they knew the Earth was flat.. oh sorry lets not get into that.
It was the masses that believed the earth was flat. Scientific observation proved otherwise. Colombus knew the earth was round in 1492 and many others discovered that much earlier. Your two hundred years is way off the mark, but to hell with facts.
I will never understand your disdain for science, when you drive a car, use electricity, computers, refrigerators, medicine etc. Your hypocracy is quite amazing.

Though these authors are physicists (most notably - older ones who are perhaps fearing their mortality) and try hard to link the soul to physics, there is no direct link. For example, read Gary Zukav (sp?). He makes many claims about the soul, yet makes not one single statement of where he got this infomation. He presents his beliefs as fact with nothing to back them up.

Actually I was 600 years off the mark, but to hell with the facts.
I have no disdain for science, Swami. I do however have a mild prejudice towards those who try to explain spirituality with science, such as stating that it is nonsense, and that it does not hold true to science. This is a fault of mine I know, one that I am trying to rid myself of.
I embrace science, while maintaining my spiritual awareness. It does upset me at times when people such as you debunk everything I say in the name of science. I tend to become cynical and egotistical, which I do not like. If you want to debate science I don't think the spirituality and philosophy board is the appropriate place to do so. While spirituality and science should meet on the same wavelength, they are definetely not, and as of this moment, seperate. Though we see things from entirely different perspectives, it would be nice it we could find a common ground...but that takes effort from both sides.
