Please explain inconsistent posting rules

Culitvation and ingestion of MM are discussed openly here and are serious felonies in most countries.

Selling is legally no worse than cultivation, so why the ban on discussing legal suppliers and the buying and selling of other contraband?

Is this just because the DEA considers MM fairly benign and looks the other way?

Discussion is one thing. Sale and distribution are something else all together. This should be pretty easy to understand.

Hmmmm, let's see:

Hypothetical poster A says:
"Hey, come over to my house and check out my cool growing setup where I harvest a dried pound of psilocybin mushrooms per month and here are some pictures (to prove that I am actually commiting a felony)."

Hypothetical poster B says:
"Hey, come over to my house and I will sell you an 1/8 of MM of $25."

Hypothetical poster C says:
"Hey, here is the web site of a Swiss company selling 5meo-dipt."

Guess my Swami pea-brain just doesn't grok the legal distinction especially, seeing how poster A has already committed a criminal act and poster B has not yet actually committed a crime. Poster C has violated only the by-laws of the shroomery and has commited no legal infraction.

Well, discussing cultivation of illegal drugs or the use of research chemicals should be fine... however posting sources or trying to buy/sell anything illegal here is not. I don't think that the Shroomery should allow discussion of where to buy shroom spores either... I suspect discussing them openly will probably help eventually get that industry shut down just like the research chemical scene is going down now.

Hypothetical poster A is a retard, and is incriminating himself. Hypothetical poster A should not be surprised if the DEA raids him. However, Hypothetical poster A is mostly just endangering himself. Hypothetical poster B is in the same situation.

Hypothetical poster C is also a retard, only he is putting others at risk, not himself. If you don't understand how this is the case, consider the fact that one of the major chemical suppliers is facing multiple federal felony charges and other chemical suppliers (including those overseas) have gone out of business because idiots like Hypothetical poster C brought down the wrath of the drug war machine.
