The software we use (Ultimate BB) supports only two different names. If people wanted to change the "junior" and "senior" members, I'm sure that could be arranged, any ideas? Later.------------------

I think the current 'junior' and 'senior' work well. They show exactly what they are supposed to, time someone has spent here. (relatively of course becuase it is based on # of posts).Having titles that suggested that more senior members are more knowledgable doesn't necessarily hold true. Granted, in general, people like Moe who have a 1000 posts know their shit, but I could post every five minutes to off-topic about my latest jerk-off and send my posts up, up, up and achieve God of Shrooms title while not knowing shit about them. Likewise, knowledgable mycopeople could show up here and have title of 'New Meat' while they are supa-fly in reality. Seniority does not necessarily mean anything other than.... seniority (why Unions suck).

Aphex is right, but it would be a pretty simple matter to hack multiple user titles into the BB. I was going to do it a while ago; the reason I didn't was because I couldn't think of any titles to add. I'd love to hear some suggestions on this, though - what titles would you like to see, and how many posts should you need to get them?------------------

Another Dimension,I didn't say you know your shit if you have 500 posts.I was using Moe as a example, a good example at that.Your number of posts says nothing of time spent here.I could spend hours here at the Shroomery and not post anything, just read.You get senior after what 50 or something.It isn't that big of a deal to me man,are you the GOD OF SHROOMS?It was just a fuckin sugestion in the sugestion forum.There isn't that many idiots that are gonna post a thousand posts about pullin there god damb pud man.It just would make it a bit different.Having the same name for a 50 post and a 600 post doesn't make sense to me,makes sense to me now that I know Aphex can't.But if we could I think it would be cool.
Ythan, do it hack em.I gave my sugestion.What better way, than in shroom potentcy.That is what were after in the long run isn't it?

Captain Jack: the exception to every rule.My view is to leave things how they are. But, if changes are made, here would be my suggestions: make it 100 for senior member. 0-29 could just be something like "registered user", and 30-99 could be "junior member". ------------------

- 1-50 = "Assraper"
- 51-75 = "Colon Cowboy"
- 76-100 = "Prison Bitch"
- 101-150 = "Asspirate"
- 151-500 = "Rainbow Warrior"
- 501+ = "ASSMASTER"
...sorry, couldn't resist. 
Seriously, i like mycofile's idea, but some of the newbies/amateurs might have no fuckin idea what it means. Any other ideas?

It would be a great incentive for the newbies to want to learn what they mean...  I vote for the technical names. Maybe something like this...0-50 - spore
51-100 - mycelium
100-200 - pinhead
200-500 - fruit
500-? - enlightened
... er something. Naw, that's a dumb idea, but maybe something like it. Suggestions?

I think that is a "neat" idea but with a negitive outcome, I believe we already have alot of people posting just for the sake of posting trivial questions. All for the current junior/senior setup. It sounds ok but really may just premote more good/informitive questions being bumped down the line too fast. But it doesn't really matter either way.

heh, actually, knowing the number of posts somebody has made doesnt really tell you anything about how knowledgable that person is on certain subjects. I've got around 700 post, but i really know next to nothing about mushroom cultivation, so...
