i personally have had no issues with the search feature, i always seem to find what i am looking for, but improvments are always a good thing.
i think it may have been suggested some time back, but i think a newbies forum would be a good idea. that way there is a place for a ll the basic repeat questions, and the newbies can ask stupid or repetative questions without raising such a fuss and it would also thin out the regular cultivation forum...

heh...I agree...the FAQ works wonders...lets just say i'm working on a little something something! i'll post a sneak-peak when i'm done a little more! this is good-sized project (nothing extreamly specil dont get my wrong) but i'm sure it will help a lot of newbies. Lets just hope somebodys doesnt steal my idea first or something... 
just think: lazy newbies trying to cultivate (they need help and lots of it)

wouldn't newbies want to hear from "experienced" growers who could answer their q's better?? so having a newbie forum would be ptless since they would most likely be getting the info from "experienced" growers.
but i do agree it is pretty damn repetitive seeing the same q's over and over again IMO

No matter what you do to improve search features or the FAQ, newbies are bound to post the same questions over and over. There will for ever be the clutter, and there will for ever be the bitching and sharp replies. With the addition of a Newbie Forum, there will be a place where the questions are expected, and I'm sure experienced growers will pop in from time to time to answer their questions.
Other than that you may as well just get use to hearing questions from people that don't want to do a little research on their own.

First off I am a newbie and would like to apologize if any of my questions have annoyed anyone. I have been using the search feature much more lately and it does help in most instances, but occassionly it will come up with so many results that aren't quite what I'm looking for although I'm sure some questions I have have been asked a thousand times. One problem I have is that different teks have different information and sometimes I get confused and it is nice to hear an opinion from someone who is experienced. Well anyway for everyone that does put up with dumb newbie questions I would like to say thankyou.  Peace to all

basic cult forum is newbie and will always be. its just the same questions asked by different people, but most questions do get answered by neophite newbies (or the occational vetran if the question is "worthy") and the cycle goes on and the newbies learn. if you are an experienced grower then you should have no reason to make a post in that forum. either use the faq or hit up adv cult if you need some educated advice.

I agree with you completely. I was just trying to show, in my lame ass way, that the method for dealing with it is to constantly put up links to the answer. And, to always tell the poster to STOP being lazy and use the search engine.
