Logic and Critical Thinking.

I am taking this philosophy course, and have found it very interesting. Since the forum split, I have been thinking... is it alright to bring up others peoples ideas, with the whole intention of examining them, pointing out its flaws, determining it's validity/invalidity, etc? Would it violate some kind of "anti-bating law" held in the other forum? I'm not trying to get people to take sides on the idea, but if I were to suggest that one particular doctrine commits a list of fallacies, and go into detail why it must be wrong, is that a crime?

The only way for us to grow and become smarter is for us to learn that our commonly held ideologies may be flawed. It shouldn't hurt to discover that you're wrong.

Be careful with criticism in the Mysticism, Religion, and Paranormal forum, it has guidelines. It also has things that don't always follow logic.
