No disrespect intended but I resent the asking of these questions. Cause what you are really asking is what our belief systems are? Unless you are a professor of theology or doing serious research in world cultural religions. Otherwise I don't see the point of asking these questions.

Hmm I think you're not quite getting it.
The basic question is "can you define your God in a brief post" and a couple of questions are offered as a guideline.

The use of this questioon is that we all can take a peek at eachother's God-image and that's conductive to growth of the spirit, especially since its non-judgemental.

1. Who is your god?
I don't think I have a "God" per say, if their is a god fairplay but I wouldn't ever whorship him but he would technically my god. He could also be anything from an event to another civilisation or just a ratio it's unlikely, I think he's the classic god we where all brought up on.

2. How long ago did you choose your lord(or did your lord choose you)?
Never met it, hasn't even sent me a brithday card

3. Why have you chosen this god?
Everyone says their can be only one god. The god that created the universe, seems fair enough to me.

4. Did you study other teachings before making your decision?
Yes everything from religion to animal behaviour I reckon studying gods work is the best way to understand him.

5. How did this decision come about?
Can't say for sure it didn't come as a bolt out of the blue

6. What is your favorite aspect of this god?
He let's me get on with life

7. What is your least favorite aspect of this god?
He obviously expects great things from us and all I want to do is dance.

1. Who is your god?
God (for me) is not a who but a how. The how is unexplainable but can (almost paradoxicaly) be fully and compleatly experienced and felt.

2. How long ago did you choose your lord (or did your lord choose you)?
I came into the awarness that my Lord is timless and eternal on a set date. So I can say that 5 years ago I came to the realization that there is no time for our relationship, but rather eternity is the set "date" in wich our relationship is based.

3. Why have you chosen this god?
no choosing, just IS.

4. Did you study other teachings before making your decision?

Yes and in doing so I came to the conclussion that teachings only point to the same truth in a different context, language, method, time period, culture, etc.
Religions onley seem to contradict.

Im sure if all the saints, and founders of relgions will get together they will all agree. It is the followers that miss understand the real message from the teaching, the truth beneath.

5. How did this decision come about?

You want to know hw I decided to choose one religion out of the others? well I didnt. I choose to do the same thing all teachers do and did, choose their own way.

He is here and present, those knowing him do see, but can't tell...those not knowing him riddle and can't ever assume...

When I pass thru the veil I imagine it will be like walking down a street with vendors on either side beckoning me to view their wares. There will be Jesus and Mohamed and Mescalito and maybe Freud and I'll know their wares will only bring me back here and so I'll pass them by and see the aliens and what they have to offer and I'll wonder what it means to just keep walking; Or maybe I'll set up shop too and say "Hey! Check THIS shit out man!"

Yeah well I could imagine Jesus and Mescalito but not Mohamed as he was only a mortal man who got a lucky ticket uptown. Jung if any psychoanalyst because of his theory of synchronicity, at least he tried to explain how life worked. Freud? He'd be too busy analyzing Mohamed about wet dreams or some chit...lol
I looked at your pics. Translate? I can't even make it out. That's a pretty nice bronze flower pot you got though. How old did the antique dealer tell you it was btw? :zoom:

I posted it on a Chinese website and I'll let you know when I find out.

I'm supposed to find a magnifying glass and copy the symbols to make it easier to decipher. Chinese changed their symbols to accomodate typwriters I suppose so it's in the hands of academics now.
