Apocalypse, or not?

Would you rather live to see/experience the apocalype, or die before it occurs?

I was asking my friends this the other day, and they quickly answered before, then thought about it said they would rather see the apocalypse.

Imagine how awesome looking/feeling the apocalypse would be. Id like to watch the sun explode, even if it is only for 8 seconds, that isnt a bad way to die. Or maybe seeing the final news program (cause you know they would follow it to the end!) where the anchormen are saying "we are all fucked, game over, see you on the flip side".

Siskel and Ebert give the Apocalypse two thumbs up!!

Definitely want to see the apocolypse. This is why I normally advocate the United States of America go empire style on the world. If we're going to collapse soon anyhow, why not go out with a big ass bang?

yes, precisely! I feel like I NEED to stick around, because I don't trust anyone else to help usher in the age of grassroots/agricultural/spiritual community without fucking it up somehow. I know I sound arrogant, and I am to a degree, but I feel like when society collapses that it is my duty to help stablize at least some small portion of what is left and prevent people from returning to the urban/industrial lifestyle which lead to this evil, disasterous culture in the first place.

Some fellow Shroomite said not long ago, Apocalypse was at all times right behind the next corner. I think that is impressive and true. It condenses and gets more true the more we progress history.

So, everyone can 'visit' apocalypse every time. It gets more true and more true, the more years human mankind gets on its shoulders.

If it really will follow, stands on a totally different paper :smile:
