To be fair that was the first blocks I had made in a long time. They may have not been hydrated properly. Beautiful pinks!

Well I've had lackluster results with reishi on mm so it might be a trend. Haven't tried multiple cultures tho so it's an open question

They did really well for me on goat feed, and on this all purpose feed.

Damn I'm good, not really, once the slices start to "open" up, you can be sure it's going down soon.  My first pink blocks in just under 3 years, crappy pellets are gone and took two months to colonize a freakin' Oyster, but here we are.  Sorry, had to vent, unreal fake hardwood pellets.  I'm better now, Enjoy... I sure will in about 3 days or so.

Nothing just yet on the Branched block... soon I'm sure.  Cultivating food, so Rewarding!

dialing in the tent with some blocks from last season. seems like they've got plenty of life left

Time for the dumpster.

Unfortunately, I had to go away for just under two weeks. Before I left, I harvested the block but left a few small mushrooms behind. It had already produced three flushes, and I actually would have just tossed it straight onto the compost. It’s crazy what happened in that time.

Anybody have experience with Stropharia rugosoannulata var lutea? Is this normal growth? It's nothing like normal rugosoannulata.

I made plug spawn and knocked up a walnut tree I had cut down. I forgot all about it for 2 years. This made me happy.đŸ˜€

Perfect synchronicity. I have to wait until later in the season to run blues. High of 85F tomorrow lol.

Testing some new Hericium erinaceus cultures. This one is Lion's Beard.

Thanks!

Another Lion's Beard block

Made adjustments to bring CO2 down some. I think this is about the best I can do. Max 1st flush yield seems right around 1lb

Looking Gorgeous up in here, I have 7 Pink blocks rollin' right now doing well, then it's on to colder species soon enough.  I have two 7.5lb Bears Head blocks ready to fruit when I'm ready and I'll be spawning my first shiitake blocks in a few years, ready to get a cycle going with those, and King Trumpets when it gets colder, anyway, have a great day and enjoy your work as you play.

Had to harvest up the Pink block, getting that light color, and a hint of spores on the block, perfect timing.

Spores hiding under the fruits.
