That things badass.  I'm sure you've already checked. But just make sure and double check the burner you got isn't putting out more than the recommended amount of BTUs for the pc.

Thats would be unfortunate.

Also to be fair I think alot of you mother fuckers kick ass. I don't really post much because I enjoy soaking up the knowledge and wisdom you all have to offer. Observing hundreds of beautiful, messy pieces of the universe.

I was just about to post the same. Looked up the recommended BTU for the Hawkins Bigboy and it's 40,000 BTU, the highest recommended for a
Presto is 12,0000 BTU. Quite a difference, now I would like to have a in person look at that Bigboy, seems to be a decent unit.

If I had known these



existed I probably would have bought before/instead of my ffu.

This is super expensive though. Beef basically made the same thing.. maby not as fancy.. but still... had to be a lot cheaper than this. Amd looks really cool.

It's got to be nice to have the full capacity of the 23 quart Presto and the set and forget luxuries of the instapot. Plus no extra time cuz it reaches 15 psi.

I personally use an induction burner plus my pressure canner and it has a timer on the induction machine which shuts off after the timer ends, but the whole combo costs a quarter of the digital presto

Do you have to do any babysitting with that? 

Usually on my first run with my PC I don't have to do much babysitting.

But if I do another run.  the temperatures in the room have changed now and everything's different hot  then I have to do a little more babysitting.

Instead of staying at around 18 psi. It'll continue to climb.  So then I gotta turn down my heat some. Over and over.


I've heard of others using the induction plate as well. And it's intriguing.. Im just curious.

Also,  the PC has to be  induction compatible on the bottom ?




Have you seen beefs pc and his set up he made to do the baby sitting for him?  It's pretty cool.




Anyways I'd like to be able to work my PC with as little effort as possible and never have to babysit it. Have the set and forget ease of the instapot without  having to give up so much space for jars.

My only daughter.    Yea.  :muppet:


Our water heater broke.  She needs a bath.  I've got a little handheld water pump that has a shower head attached to it..

you can stick it in a sink or bucket of  water and it's basically a handheld shower for babies.

I figured I'd use the sous vide to heat up some water in the container and then dip the thing in.  And bam.  Perfect bath. 



She's so cute and chunky.  Lol all those pudgy baby creases.  Your right tho.  She would prlly be pretty tasty. :lol:

Every time I look at her I just want to eat her up. :heart:

I have to turn down the heat and set it to two hours when I hit 15psi, but after that no more baby sitting. Obviously I also have a induction presto and induction hob :lol:

Well, if you know this hobby is for life it might still be worth it right? Paid more for my FFU even though my SAB worked fine :lol:
