The reality is that Trump has made decisions specifically intended to cause the death of people.  Is that killing someone or not?  How is this different from what Pol Pot did?

WOW.... Donald Trump is the worst piece of human garbage to ever 'serve' the American people. 

Just dropping a general state of the Donald.  2 more years...  He's managed to infringe on the well being of nearly every human on earth. He's likely to kill so many fucking people.

Pol Pot was a genocidist. Engaging in acts of war doesn't make you a genocidal dictator.

If that is the bar then Abraham Lincoln is a genocidist no different than Pol Pot. And the argument could be made Lincoln was the first American dictator and more of a dictator than Trump. Trump isn't smart enough to wield power like a dictator.

Look, I hate Trump just as much as the next person, but I also think keeping language in tact and making sure words retain their meaning. Calling Trump a genocidal maniac because he bombed Iran is stupid.

Your response on your feeling of trump reminds me of lawyer Dershowitz going on all the news shows saying how he was a liberal while arguing for presidential immunity for trump.

You can when you hate the destruction of language more.

it also gives MAGA a leg up on entrenching themselves politically. When they do something objectively bad, but every bad decision is akin to Pol Pot or Hitler, it makes you look unhinged. so for the people in the middle they'd rather go with people who are run of the mill corrupt as opposed to people who are so emotionally and politically unhinged you have no idea what they're capable of.

Sure you can.  Im with AI 100% on that.  It is more important to keep people politically literate.  It's not difficult to articulate perfectly reasonable criticisms of Donald Trump.. so.. do that.

With that said... He's clearly NOT smart enough to be a true dictator,  HOWEVER... He is threatening to annihilate an entire nation.. So call him a "genocidal, wanna be, but too dumb to be dictator", is most fitting.

Hitler is a complicated figure in history with a long story , there many ways in which modern political leader can be compared to some part of it . The comparison itself shouldn't  be an  automatic disqualification of your opinion .

Well... Equating Trump with Hitler does make you opinion seem pretty superficial.  They share being generally bad people, willing to disrupt the entire world and cause mass suffering.. but the likeness pretty well ends there. 

Hitler was a vicious, battle hardened WW1 vet, devoted ideolog who gained the respect and adoration of his entire nation through beer halls and grass roots political movements.  He was politically capable of resurrecting a pariah nation from destitution to general wealth and well being, then brought all of Europe into it's most devastating war AND systematically murdered millions of people.

Trump is a petulant, spoiled child, draft dodger with pedophile network ties; who was known for putting his name on things and treating women very poorly.  He lied his way to power, when there was simply little better to choose from.  He has destroyed the worlds greatest economy, depleted its military, likely because a foreign power has some kind of pee pee video, or some such... He may even wipe an entire people off the map to please this master... Sending the world into a dizzying chaos of suffering...

Frankly.. the more I think about it, the more I think Hitler will be looking down on him in hell.

He rose to power based on lying and hating the other.  He is working hard to put that hate  into action.  He got great resource put to a military type force that is more under his direct direction.  He got great support based on hating the other from the american poeple.  He has not changed his mind, just as hitler didn't from his very early thoughts.

Hitler gave the people jobs building a war machine and using it.

Trump gave special jobs to people outside official positions to work in secret  against official american policy.  He was impeached for some of it and like hitler, it made him stronger.  Both him and hitler's roads are to destruction.

That only works to their advantage these days. They act like making that comparison has been cheapened. Meanwhile they made that comparison Obama's whole presidency because he made a lot of executive orders.

Oh my god dude.. Trump absolutely fumbled into where he is today.  Hitler grinded his entire way with intent.  Trump is a big dumb bigot, it's true.  He leverages hate and stupidity, it's true.  You can find little sprinkles of similarity with any shit bag human, it does not make them equals.  Hitler was astronomically more focused, experienced, determined and intelligent.  You have to call Hitler principled, skilled and committed to his evil beliefs.. Trump is a moral idiot, drowning in his evil.

You don't need to make him Hitler to prove he is a bad guy.. in fact, it serves him, to aggrandize him.

So please... don't.

Because it is LIKELY that he will never be prosecuted for the things he's done... and it is MUCH better that the generations to follow see his as the lucky strike pig, lunatic child failure that he is... RATHER than some man of steel, near dictator, who was some controversial and complicated political mastermind.
