I've got you all beat.

I lost my older brother to suicide at age 22. He graduated from Dartmouth mathematics.

I lost my older sister to alcohol approx 15 years later. I raised her kids.

I am an only child now.

Wait a minute let me try, my step brother died from suicide when I was a teen then a few years ago lost my friend to an OD then another to a car crash my baby mom cheated and hid another man from me and had his kid while my daughter was there at the house and saw it all my aunt had an aneurysm and the hospital sent her home while she was essentially incapacitated and had to go back then they sent her to a assisted living home which was horrible so we had to get her out and it’s as if she had a lobotomy. One of my dogs died a few weeks ago and I know my other dog is next at 11 years old. And my dad has cancer again.

Jesus fucking christ, everyone on here is so fucking damaged. I mean we already knew that, right, but I've had to choke away some shit reading the last few pages.

Much love and respect to all of you. We are a bandwagon of emotionally crippled misfits. Please someone stand up and tell a positive story without suffering, something about the cat discovering your anal beads collection or whatever.

I lost my sister at age six, lost three friends and my brother in law to suicide and experienced some of the gross shit people inflict upon grieving kids. But god damn my own kids and parents are still intact, count my blessings every day. Most of my friends lost parents at a young age and it stunted them, can't find a better word for it. My own parents were very badly fucked up when my sister died, think it took about ten years for my mom to get back to some kind of baseline.

Then again I'm yet to turn 40, so we'll see what kind of dark crap comes after that.
