I wish coffee did that to me.  Alas, ADHD's always gonna be a piece o' shit.  Least I can (mostly) function w/o Addys, these days, so I don't have to do in-person psych visits like I'm living in the fucking Dark Ages.

I'm autistic too but I did not find out until I was 30 so I lived my whole life with everyone just thinking I'm fucking crazy.

What I don't like is when neurotypical people say yes but they really mean no or when they say no but really mean yes. Jesus fucking Christ no wonder so many neurotypical men rape women because they think no means yes. It honestly really doesn't surprise me now that I'm 40 years old and have had to deal with these mother fuckers my whole life. This whole time, every time I've said no to someone they think I mean yes. No wonder we have so many world conflicts. You'll never hear of an autistic raping anyone because they know that no means no.

Anyway, what's up with the fucking job interview process and the whole entire process of getting a job? What's up with all these million-dollar questions or questions that only a therapist should be asking? Like you want me to tell you about myself? Are we on a date? You want me to tell you my greatest strengths and weaknesses like are you my therapist? What are my short-term goals? Bitch my short-term goal is to get this fucking job so I can pay my fucking rent. Can you work in a team? Bitch this is a fucking job not the world cup, everyone is focused on their own work. If there's a problem can I effectively communicate with the lead on duty? Like you really think it's fucking difficult to communicate? Like you really think you're fucking special just because you're an upper management and you get to interview people. Fuck you royally.

The only questions that should ever be asked for a job interview is:

1. Are you available during the times that we need or can you become available during those times?

2. Are you able to perform these tasks: a b c and d?

Most jobs' SOP's are written at a Middle School reading level and even science lab jobs sops are written at a high school reading level. Unless you're doing synthesis or analytical chemistry or you're a doctor, a 10 year old could do any job.

This has happened to me also. If I have coffee I feel like I'm on cocaine.

I switched completely to tea in 2020. It gives me energy but not so much that I can't sleep at night. And actually certain kinds of teas actually help me sleep like ripe puer or Nepali oolong.

Fucking preach. You and I would get along absolutely. I got diagnosed with autism and ADHD at 30 too.

My tip is to find a role where you are working with other neurodivergents (a mix of NT and ND is good). That way you can find your niche.

I found THE most autistic job it's basically manufacturing and nursing and it's so based around SOPs it's not funny. (I fucking love it. So so much ill probably try and get into the SOP writing thing down the track)

That ass feature replaces perfectly legible written out sentences with nonsense. It'll go back and take words that were spelled correctly and replace it with completely different words that sounds similar.

Yeah, it's the first thing I turn off w/ each new phone I get.  I'm not a four year-old, I was taught how to write properly.  Also, they consistently mark words like "cunt" as misspelled.  Guess we can't have our Markov chains contain bayud wuwds cuz the kiddly-winks might see them!

Meanwhile, I have a distinct memory of a girl in my middle school tellin another girl to, quote, "get that cum off yo lip."  But, yeah, let's protect their sensitive little eyes from the word "fuck."

Same timeline for me, 3 days of feeling awful. Only thing that helps is either more booze or other drugs

It doesn't effect me as much when on vacation though, baseline happy chemicals must just be higher
