Yes, everything about the atom bomb came from and is part of nature.
We do have birds in this world, so don't fret.

People have responsibility for their actions. If I made a virus that killed everyone on the Earth. Yeah technically viruses are part of nature. That one that I made that killed the Earth isn't. So that would be my responsibility because that was me that did that.

It ain't a ce la vie kind of situation to just let lazy pet owners have all of the birds killed in your neighborhood.

If you want I can bring up a list of all the species that have been exterminated directly because of human intervention.

So what?
I can bring up a list of species that eradicated themselves through overpopulation and overconsumption, many directly from lack of human "intervention".

That is natural. Humans directly poisoning an environment and causing an extinction event isn't normal. It isn't in line with the natural flow of events.

Especially when humans have so much control over what they do and the environment that they live in. If people took responsibility things would be far better than if everyone was lazy and didn't give a shit and let everything go extinct.

That's the end of my conversation on this subject.

Beavers were important part of how water is stored in our land. People found out that by using a stink gland in a beaver you could make expensive perfume so they hunted them to near extinction.

That isn't natural. Now we have massive flooding because of humans hubris and stupidity. Reintroducing beavers to the environment they were wiped out of is natural and in line with the order of events that are supposed to be happening. The stupid trappers that exterminated all of them is humans fucking it up for the Earth like usual.

What are you even arguing for? That no one should give a shit we should just let everything fizzle out and die?

Because I'm arguing for humans to take responsibility for their actions and to cherish their environment and care about it. I don't know what you're arguing for anymore.

I'm arguing for people to let their house cats exist and keep them inside so they don't kill all of the animals outside of their house because they don't care. I care.

We don't own animals, man. The housecats have been here for thousands of years, locking them up is fucking cruel.

I love my cats, but I would never let them outside for both their safety (cars) and wildlife. Putting a bell on them is bare minimum imo.

They're just so destructive and not part of the environment, and it's not even for food, it's often just for fun and stimulation.

I really like what New Zealand has done to try and bring back native wildlife. Mostly by dealing with possums and other pests including feral cats/rats/stoats, and by destroying invasive plants in favor of native ones.

Ecosystems get demolished by random shit we've brought in, just look at half of the introduced species that result in extinction anywhere. I'm all for the intention of let animals be animals, but I also wouldn't let something run wild that can act like a fat kid in a candy shop

The homogenization of nature and decimation of native species is genuinely sad and almost entirely driven by humans

The cat isn't supposed to exist if you really want to get into it. It was selectively breaded by humans as pets. They have an insatiable bloodlust and they will kill for fun. If everyone let all of their cats out all the time birds would be extinct.

People need to take more responsibility. If every person who owned a dog just let their dog shit wherever they wanted and didn't clean it up. Everyone will be stepping in shit every day.

I'm with you on everything but cats weren't selectively bred to be pets. its a mutual tolerance between cats and humans. house cats evolved all on their own and then decided to come live by us to eat our mice. they're still there mentally. bird and cats coexisted for forever before today and they will continue to, they wont "kill all the birds" lol

really if you think about it, we'd be at the mercy of house cats if they were about 2x bigger. if they never got small, cats would have defined how we as humans operate. cant really say that about any other animal that we live with day to day. Chimpanzees are in the same category as well; if they were more dispersed and plentiful, wed be molding our lives around not pissing off the chimpanzees lol were only on the top of the food chain because SOME of us can outrun large animals and kill them (I cannot).

dogs are a totally different story. they are completely our problem now and cannot really live on their own.

spray the cat but it'll keep sneaking lol

They were bred mostly as pets but they were used to kill mice. You can still take your cat outside for a walk on a leash. Just letting your cat wander around and murder at its leisure every day. That's you allowing your pet to kill hundreds of animals maybe more in its lifetime.  Rough estimate is between 500 and 1500.
Typically an outdoor cat is able to kill at least four animals a week. So if people have that as one of the most commonly kept pets in the world and about 50% of those people just let them wander around outside how long will it take before there are no more animals outside for them to kill?

Whether people think they have responsibility for it or not doesn't change the fact that they do.

house cats weren't bred at all. they came to be without selective breeding or human intervention. the only known observance of such a thing is the tabby coat, which may have been bred by Egyptians for aesthetics, not murderous traits lol

I think mother nature might know a little more about conservation than us people lol in fact things tend to go extinct when humans "take responsibility" for them. how many rodents, small birds, and dogs do you think an owl or any other falcon kills in its lifetime? I'd think at least one a day and they tend to live for about 12 years for owls and 30 years for a bald eagle. what human takes responsibility for putting an end to that? the answer is none and its codified in the law. If your religious its also codified in the Bible to not eat or kill such birds. so how do we stop the MURDER :rofl2:

bringing cats inside never saved any population of animals, because the cats were around keeping populations in check for thousands of years before we even knew what they were doing. we can change basically nothing about our world, we are creations not creators.

atom bomb analogy is frivolous because the "atom bomb" is a propaganda scheme targeting enthusiasts of clean energy. bp funded a fake 2x bombing campaign of Japan to signify the dangers of a technology poised to diminish and effectively end crude oil industry.

right? :goodmorning:

I'd like to point out that it is possible to have nuclear fission on earth without human intervention:

I don't think it proves anything in the discussion, just that it's cool AF.

Are you just guessing at stuff bud?

They werent bred.
They wernt bigger before.
Theyve always existed.

My understanding is that cats have remained remarkably similar to their genetic origins despite their deliberate self-domestication.

Agriculture proliferated their species.  Grain production proliferated mice and rodents, rodents proliferated the cat populations.

Anyway.  Ive been over the animism thing so many times. It really seems to either bore people or enrage them but ill summarize it just ONE MORE TIME for the folks who still think technology or "programs" or "reform" is going to save the earth:

The agricultural revolution IS a collective fever-dream that only makes sense when you're half-conscious.  Cultural hynagagia.  The revolution ends when we starve and the earth will be crowned victor, once more.

Agriculture historically always causes famine; not the other way around.  Just as the parachute wasnt invented by someone falling from a plane.

Cats will continue to exist long after agricture doesnt, as will humans.

Just not *these* cats and humans.

Its already begun.  Plain to see if youre even half awake.  Keep your cat in or dont.  Its a drop in the bucket.  be the best person you can, but please do not pretend you stand upon any kindof moral higher ground, oh ag-revolutionist.
