Agreed. Looks great. Is it a local oyster variety?

Thanks! It’s“ Pearl” oysters from Sporeworks. I do have a culture cloned from a wild fruit I’m still waiting on. I’ll for sure post pictures of those.

Wild oyster culture coming in, looking somewhat darker than expected based on the parent fruit.

I know, I know—it’s nothing earth-shattering. But as a beginner like me, I’m absolutely thrilled that the second flush produced even nicer mushrooms than the first.

Second flush mushrooms are the best!

Are those P. Erygii?

Yes, those are King oyster mushrooms. During the first flush, I struggled with excessively high CO2 levels; while the stems were nice and thick, but practically no caps formed.

First time growing lion's mane mushrooms.
I think it looks pretty good. I only ever see photos of fully grown mushrooms, where they already have teeth. But I hope this compact growth is normal.

I need to start thinking about a recipe soon. I'm curious to see how it tastes.

Temperature: 20°C. CO2 between 550 and 950 ppm. Humidity: 92% - 94.5%

Crab cakes are a delight. Other than that chop them up anddo a dry saute until golden brown, add olive oil or butter at the end with some garlic or onions and voila add to anything

Ran across a few pics and realized, I've missed growing Pinks and Kings so much.  It's time to get the GH back in business.  Blast from the past, take ER' easy and enjoy the process, sometimes going so fast pushing blocks you just go through the motions.  Anyway, I need to pull some Pink LC like... yesterday!

I'm drooling, nothing better tasting than Pinks or Kings, they hands down take the cake.  I've grown many oyster varieties, I like King/Blue cross too, but nothing beats these in flavor and or texture.  Perfect time of the year for Pinks, not so much for King Trumpets.
