That is the exact shelf unit and tent that I got with my kit. I got the entire kit on a Labor Day sale in 2024 for under $200 shipped. I think it was $179 or $169 when I bought it for $100 off the regular price with free shipping. It was a 5 tier unit. Here is the link to the exact thing I bought…

Not bad lots of stuff you dont need
Martha
Humidifier piped in like my picture I just used foam pipe insulators
An electric timer to turn on and off the humidifier, depending on what you’re growing
And you definitely need some kind of tub to catch all the excess water, and it adds an added benefit of moisture inside the tent once it covers up the gap at the bottom of the plastic,, kind of airtight, but you still get lots of fresh air from the humidifier, pushing in humidity

But like I said cubes seemed to grow better in tubs, but the big problem I have with tubs as I can never get them clean enough to reuse the second time

It was a lot of stuff. When I bought it they didn’t include the PF jars or substrate. Yeah but the lighting, heating and all I don’t know what to do with. It came with a hard plastic drip tray that is about an inch and a half deep. It hardly fit the base and that was one of the reasons I never used it after assembling it. I should have returned it but that window passed. Dumb purchase. It is currently in the boxes in my basement.

The lights can’t hurt.  turn it on leave it on all the time.
The heater is not needed. I keep mine in my walk-in closet with the heater just cause I’d like to keep it at 80° and if you want a better drip, and Home Depot has them to be used as mixing concrete up in them that’s the only place I’ve ever been able to find a container that big and sturdy.

I agree with his statement about the mexicana vs cubes …QUOTE
I have uniformly experienced mexicana to be calm, spacious, open, relaxed and deep where cubensis can become unusually dark or forceful. Between the two, I'm definitely settled on mexicana in so far as providing a positive and beneficial experience.

Hi ,

i have just finished harvesting some stones (mexican )  , and i have some weird looking brown spots inside a couple of the stones. Does anyone had this ?

i also noticed that the colour of the stones is lighter then the ones i made clones from ( bought at a dutch smart shop). the

close up 1 :

close up2 :

harvest 1 :
These grew on a brf cake inside the jar , i had forgotten about the jar for 2.5 months and there were some nice stones when i took it out. I took the stones and put the brf cake in a fruiting chamber . It would be nice to have some fruits of these so i can make spore prints. total 26 grams

harvest 2 :
a bulk that i did a second flush on , i was not sure if this would work with stones. After the first harvest i just rehydrated a bit.  24 grams

looking forward to try them tomorrow , still thinking of what quantity i am going to take , i think around 20 grams assuming the strength will be more or less the same as the originals i bought in the smartshop.

grz

I think he just means that in a general sense, not saying your stones in particular are weird looking.

I think 3AM has this same variety/species but I'm not sure!

This is a unique one :ooo: "Mystery #1" and all I was told was
"probably just Tamps". It definitely is active.

Its been almost two months since spawning the shoebox

Looking good Wedgie! I’m trying for a 4th flush on my ATL7. Mine got a little dry. I rehydrated the heck out of it, and I think it’s on its way to flush again. Can’t wait to harvest the stones out of these shoeboxes!

Going for fruits with Tampanensis again. Is it best to let it consolidate for a few weeks after it's colonized? The block is completely colonized but the mycelium is thin and whispy almost like a pan cyan culture. Should I give it time to thicken up or case and fruit now?
