Good on you, I can't imagine trying to learn all there is to about this in a foreign language.
I used to be damn near fluent in Spanish, but only with in the realm of restaurants (vocabulary).

But if you don't use it you loose it.

I confess to listening to a rando Ytube video about making thick, super healthy liquid culture using a wide variety of ingredients that was the exact opposite of the simple LME clear broth I'd used in the past.

Grain water + ground up RGS + potato flakes + 5x the amount of LME I've used before + organic yeast + brewed coffee + a few things I can't remember.

I mixed it all up in the cloudiest brew (looked like a protein drink!) with more dark sediment than anything I'd ever seen and I'm thinking, how will I ever possibly be able to spot contams?

So I squirt a bit of clean Lion's Mane LC in there to see what happens and for at least a week, it looks so bad I almost threw it out... then the brew starts to clear up and the mycelium get thicker.  Then all the sediment (and there was a ton of it) clears up and the broth gets lighter in color. Then the mycelium are, by far, the thickest I have ever seen in an LC and the brew is crystal clear.

I was absolutely 100% positive it was contaminated but I was wrong and those little buggers cleaned it all up, ate all sediment and crowded up the joint so the jar is packed to the gills with very healthy looking mycelium and crystal clear..  Gonna knock up a few grain jars and see if it colonizes as fast as the video claimed.

I'll put one up when I get home later, but not sure how good it will turn out because it's so thick you can't really see through it the way you can with other LCs I've done and the color is darker than LME broth. All of the sediment is gone. The broth literally looked like a dark milk with lots of sediment when it started.

This is the best I could do with the picture as I literally rested the mason jar on top of a lit flashlight to give an indication of just how thick the mycelium is, but it really doesn't capture it. There's not even 1 ML of liquid in the jar that isn't packed with thick mycelium. If you saw the "before picture" right after I PC'd the jar, you would have seen what looked like coffee colored "milk" with a 1/8 inch of dark sediment fine particles resting on the bottom of the jar.

The lighting and reflection give the impression the mycelium is darker than it is and the mycelium "cloud" goes up to the very top of the surface of the broth. The liquid is actually very clear and without lighting is the color of smokey dark brandy. As you can see there is not even a speck of sediment at the bottom of the jar.

This is the 22nd day after sterilizing and starting the jar and it just keeps getting thicker every day.

The broth is clear, it's just hard to see it in the picture because the mycelium is so thick. It's a shame I didn't take a picture of what it looked like coming out of the PC. I figured there was no way it was going to come out looking like this.

If you don’t constantly agitate your LC and let it sit for a while, a growth of my psyllium will look like a perfect little gooey orb at the bottom of the jar.
