this variety has been doing some consistently funky stuff w/ tubs.... anyone know whats going on here?

Super long consolidation times and the beaded moisture on top becomes more like a gelatin that looks borderline like a part of the mycelium. The pseudo casing also bruises blue and almost appears to be a fruiting body in the later stages...

Id say their trash, but they have put out some great fruits here and there in addition to all the aborts and blobs which appear to be growing within the substrate itself

Yeah that surface looks like some of the beads are bacteria.

I think itโ€™s also just shit genetics, I had a bunch of shakti blue brain tubs that would just do lots of tiny blobs with the occasional tiny mushroom mixed in.

Nikon. Cameras are all so good these days that it doesn't really matter what brand, sure there are differences but you're more buying into a system than just a camera body. I've shot nikon since film days so have a bunch of legacy lenses etc, just stuck with it. Sony makes some great cameras and there are a lot of great lenses that work with them. Fuji has some beautiful sensors.. canon is a staple of course and some legendary lenses of their own but I like the nikon workflow and the nikon colour science is nice for wildlife/nature photography imo. But with high resolution, low noise sensors these days plus a .raw format workflow the world is your oyster with any reasonably modern camera body. Lenses are more important, especially with the high resolutions available these days; I've always liked Nikon glass.

With the professional photography switch to mirrorless systems there are some fantastic deals on extremely capable and professional DSLR cameras and lenses these days..

First time fruiting B+ and just got a box of mfs built like Danny Devito. Idk why it happened, but the sub shrank quit a bit, so Im wondering if there was too much air drying out my sub.

Then I grabbed a plate and found whatever this is. Looks like a pink Starburst melted in there...I haven't seen anything looking like this before, so figured Id share.

Not pictured - harvested 160g of natalensis friday and about 600g of Amazonians tonight. Decent start anyway.
