Is that a germination plate? Looks like myc, but it looks to me like theres multiple points of growth there, so if that sounds on par for how that plate came to be, groovy. If not, watch it and see if you can get a better pic.

Also, take me with a grain of salt. I'm noobish.

It's a transfer from a BRF puck. The puck bit sure tumbled a little bit before settlingπŸ˜…

Also I fruited the puck, got 3 medium sized shrooms. That's to say that the puck seemed clean

Took this culture to lc gave it a week and knocked up these jars on a light LC 8 days ago.

It's been a couple years since my last run I'm excited πŸ€ͺ

:stoned:

.....

What would happen if I inoculated this extremely low frequency radiated no-pour agar dish with mushroom spores?

Would the resulting mycelial network that germinates resonate with Shuman, and end up magically electro culturing a mutant freak strain?

Ive got 16 plates that are from spore scrapes that mostly look like that. Isolate away and see what it does. If it still looks like that maybe there's some deficiency on the plate.

None of mine have pinned in-vitro, so I'm curious... how old is this dish and has it been in the dark?

Transfer date was Sept 11 and it’s in a fairly dark closet that the door usually stays open

In my limited experience Hericium mycelium starts off super thin and wispy. Looks disorganized compared to other species. It runs like this and looks slow and weak. Then one day it changes and gets thick and robust, almost looks like a totally different growth pattern overnight.
