I would transfer from the bottom gt plate and see how it turns out. You should get to a point that every transfer grows out uniform and nice looking. Try not to shake the plate around after you transfer. Do another transfer from the nats as well.

This is a lark, dude sent me black cap nats on grain and I keep transferring this one piece and it fans perfect every time I'm just counting how many times I pluck it up and start a new one before anything changes.



But portion cups do make great germinators, all nice and sealed up and save on plates a great deal.
also use them to make wedges for spawn, so at the most imperfect and ready isolate stage they are useful and $1/12.

Beginner mistake a lot of people make, based on old b.s. when people were throwing everything at shrooms, and picking tricks that helps for growing roses or whatever.

Gypsum is in the same category. About 19 out of 20 great growers don't use it, and the 1 that does, has been using it for 15 years and is a great grower DESPITE it.

Actually coffee grounds, unlike gypsum, increase acidity so can increase chance of contam. Don't throw your grow away but I wouldn't use it next time.

I'm curious what old book you read that told you to use coffee. Or was it someone on Reddit?

What are you judging them by?

Those are fresh transfers. They need to grow so you can see the mycelium. When you transfer, or otherwise disturb the mycelium it will jump weird for a day or 2 then start growing. After a week or so of growing you then will have something to look at.

They were just transferred. Why are you wanting to transfer them again?
