Biden has Parkinsons... but.. if he had taken his doctors advice back in 1953... and taken up smoking.. he might have been a 2 term president.

I don’t understand what Republicans are running on anymore. I guess it’s just Dems are bad.

I think that party needs to do some soul-searching.
Maybe get replaced with a different party altogether because I don’t understand what the goal is anymore.

Ok let’s set aside this fantasy about the democrats waking up one day and deciding to be good, and examine the implications of them “supporting border policy,” because this is a pretty foundational phenomenon of US politics.

The Democrats have never been exactly dovish on border policy, but they did embrace a sort of pro-immigrant, anti concentration camp, anti ICE agenda in 2016 upon Trump’s build the wall rhetoric. That rhetoric became a mainstay of of the media, and because Democrats offered no viable alternative to the status quo, the narrative became “here’s a problem, republicans want to do solution X and democrats don’t,” and Dems eventually caved. Now, because Trump is running on immigration again, the Dems have to (they don’t have to) try to outflank the GOP, even farther than Biden did, and build the wall themselves. Liberal strategists paint this as electoral success because it makes the GOP look stupid and gives the Dems an in with white nationalists and other white people “concerned” about immigration. But now Trump is just moving the conversation even farther right. Even if the Democrats have successfully triangulated their way into an electoral victory this cycle, they’ve lost the argument. The Overton window on immigration shifts right again, which is the ideological goal of the Republican Party. The democrats don’t have any ideological goals.


So yeah, this might cause the GOP to lose a couple times, like the Dobbs decision has, but that’s simply the result of them winning victories over the majority of the U.S. population.

The Republicans are having an incredibly hard time dealing with the fact that Democrats had bipartisan support for a border policy, and Donald Trump single-handedly made sure it did not pass. Yet they constantly complain about the Republicans having stronger border policy.

Mmm... I think you missed my point. Democrats are the ones who aaaalways run on "Republicans BAD"... Except maybe Obama...

Republicans actually run on policy positions, like agenda 25... or whatever the fuck. They might be terrible positions, but there is actually some substance to chew on... even if it is bitter and nauseating.

The Democratic party needs to be replaced altogether. The Democratic party needs to do some soul searching. If they ran the most minimally leftist platform, and actually delivered ANYTHING for the people, they would ALWAYS win.

I don’t know why Republicans are attacking stuff that doesn’t make sense. That’s on them. I’m not running a campaign. I’m just pointing it out.

Because Donald Trump has been bitching constantly. Kamala Harris agreed to the muted Mike’s. He is still trying to find any excuse on earth to not go to this debate.
