I've seen a few extra trump flags post conviction in my swing state.

Like, the local house which has a giant "right to life" banner hanging across the front with a cross and a Jesus and a fetus also now has a trump sign.

All those people just need a simple refresher on the election process being rigged by the deep state so no need to vote anyways. Reinforcing that alternative fact when talking to them is my strategy at least. :shrug:

That is a good point. This man has been engaging in shady business practices his entire life. They only decide to prosecute him for it, when he is the favorite to win a second presidential term.

Most independents won't care one way or another, i suppose. Anyone with a brain knew he was a criminal before this, so it's not going to change anyone's mind

That is a good point. This man has been engaging in shady business practices his entire life. They only decide to prosecute him for it, when he is the favorite to win a second presidential term.


NY prosecutors attempted to investigate him years ago, but trump went to the courts saying he was immune as president and it took years for that case to work its way to the Supreme Court which finally ruled in 2021 that the case was no longer relevant because he was no longer president. They finally got access to his financial records in 2021. Remember that Michael cohen was prosecuted and put in prison for his role in this scheme in 2019. This entire narrative that they waited until he was running for president again is total bullshit. Trump has managed to delay delay delay for a half decade.

As for the other cases, those criminal acts occurred in 2021-2023.

Yeah, but Trump had a lifetime of stiffing contractors, and other shady business dealings. Surely, there was something long before he was president... many things.

White collar crime very often goes unpunished in this country, and that is why it looks like a politically motivated prosecution.

Because politicians get far more scrutiny than private citizens. The stakes are higher. You have people doing opposition research. Trump should have known this would happen, but his ego is in control of his behavior.

Again, politically motivated timing, because they could have done it 2.5 years ago, but in no way unjustified to do.

Menendez the guy caught with gold bars in his jacket should be charged, and Bernie came out with a list of bankers that need to be charged for these sort of crimes to.

This should set the precedent to charge more influential people to hold them accountable for the white collar crimes they're commiting.

Totally unrelated. Biden has nothing to do with the NY prosecution. If Biden has that much control over the justice system, why is his son going on trial next week?
