I dropped 1-2cc of LC on this plate to use as a reservoir for streaking:

I went for a z-shape when streaking these plates, which seemed to work a bit better on the soft agar

I’m glad I saw this explanation,  because now this makes so much more sense to me. I have like 8 transfers from 2 diff germ plates because I was scratching my head on what was / wasn’t cube mycelium

So far I have one extremely slow growing mycelium and one faster one. The slower one is thicker and more rhizo, while the faster is more tomentose and fluffy. Pretty wild looking germ plates. It’s the first time I swabbed a plate and second guessed if every colony was mold

Gotcha!! I’ll take some more transfers from the plates I wasn’t as sure about. I see a lot of bags and shoeboxes in my future to isolate winners . Excited to share results!
