Honestly I’m kinda confused…it looks like mushrooms cause it’s bruising blue but I’ll let someone else say. The second photo definitely looks like shrooms…I think lol.

Don’t worry guys I cut the bag open and put the brick on top of a piece of tinfoil inside of a Rubbermaid bin. After about 10 days, I assumed it was dead so I was picking it up and looking at it, examining it. I left the cover off for a day and it dried out. I have done everything wrong other than listening to you and I’ve got some pathetic little mushrooms going.

if I can grow mushrooms on my very first, try with no help at all doing everything wrong then imagine what I’m gonna do when i figure it out. 🤩 WOW

Only to fuck off and do my own thing? My bad I thought doing  my own thing was the point of growing. I thought it was about to starting to grow and then other people helping you with the grow. I didn’t know I was going to be receiving orders.

I joined here and asked for help with bags and the advice i got was “ throw your bags away. They are contaminated they won’t ever grow”
Wow incredible,  thank you for that brilliant insight. Thank God I didn’t listen.

The rest of the posts were everyone talking about PFtek  and how awesome it was and how that’s the only way that I should ever grow. OK well that’s awesome but what the fuck does that have to do with the 3 bags i asked you about ? Please explain how a lecture about PFtek in the middle of a bag grow is helping me.  How about giving me some advice about I don’t know….  bags! Considering that’s what I came here asking for.

Me:  “how do I know when my bag is colonized”

This post: “  those bags are filled with mold burn them”

me: “ actually no they actually look  pretty good and they’re colonizing, how do I know when they’re done?” no

This post: “ Your wasting all your money. nothing is gonna grow”

me: “ wow  I’m growing something now! is this mold or  mushrooms??

This post: “ you think you know everything so go fuck yourself with your little shit mushrooms”

Now that you've written your little emotional dissertation, let me write my own.
lets get a few things straight. Yes people on here can be blunt and straight forward, but the majority of us want to see people succeed. Otherwise this forum wouldn't be one of the leading boards for mushroom growing advice. You CAN do what you did, and grow a couple mushrooms, and if you did, kudos to you. The reason people are shitting on you is because you lack humility, no one is commanding you to do anything, from what I've seen they've said they see contamination and that you should probably throw the bag out, the reason being that it is USUALLY a waste of time and a dice roll that is severely not in your favor if you have contaminated bags. Once again if you get a few mushrooms out of your moldy contaminated bags, kudos to you, we wouldn't suggest others to do the same.

On Top of that, you literally started a thread asking whether you were growing mold or mushrooms. Why start the thread if you already made up your mind that the bags were fine?

Lastly, if you really don't like your treatment here or the advice that's being given, you always have the choice to leave, no ones holding you hostage, might I suggest reddit and youtube, I heard they give "killer" advice.

You’re probably not aware of this, but there was an entire previous post before this. I originally came  in here with total respect  and just asked for some basic help. I didn’t start acting like a dickhead until i was given an attitude.

Yes, you’re correct everyone told me I had contamination. Meanwhile I was trying to convey the fact that I don’t think that I did. Not because I was being arrogant but because I was just describing what I saw, that’s all.  They took that as disrespect and me being a know it all. Well, how else am I supposed to describe the situation when the bags look exactly like they did when I first injected them?  I didn’t see anything odd, so what am I supposed to say?

Do you see what you just did? You gave me advice along with an explanation. Your advice would be even better is if you pointed out the contamination so that I would see it and recognize it.
That small amount of information would have helped me to make a better decision, I would have learned something that would benefit me in the future and it would save me from asking the same questions again in the future.
The people here need to understand that not everyone has the same goals. Just because you are used to growing 400 mushrooms doesn’t mean that is what everyone else needs. No one even considered to ask what I was trying to do. They effectively said “you need to do it this way because that is our goal so yours must be the same.”. For them, PFtek  is better, so therefore it must be better for everyone.

If my bags really did have mold, then I still would’ve chose to grow them based off of what you said because I would rather have two or three mushrooms than none. I would have learned what the stages of contamination look like and I would’ve learned what mushrooms look like while growing.

because like I said, I originally started this conversation in a different post and the only reason it transferred here is because someone in the other post was being a dickhead and trying to make sure that I didn’t get any help.

When I made this post, I was not sure if I had mushrooms or mold. My gut was telling me that I did not have mold, but everyone here was saying that it was. I wanted an outside perspective from somebody that I hadn’t talk to yet and if they had told me it was mold, I would’ve went back into the original post and apologized.

Meanwhile, at the same time, I asked this question in reddit and everyone said it was mushrooms.. Once I was positive they were mushrooms I was pissednbecause  I just missed throwing these bags away but more importantly I was was treated like a fool. when it turns out they were wrong the whole time.

There is the arrogance again…. What is the problem with Reddit or YouTube? I consistently see that as a running joke here and I think it’s hilarious because this entire time I was simultaneously posting the exact same things in Reddit, as well as to the guy who sold me the bags, and almost everything I was told here was wrong and Reddit was right.  Not only were they correct but they answered the questions that I asked, instead of just telling me about some thing that is irrelevant. I don’t think that everyone in true Murray is a dickhead and I’m sure there are tons of people who are very helpful so I will continue to use both sites🤷🏼♂️

To this day I still have yet to receive any advice on how to grow in bags which is what my post was about. I was told that they suck and they contaminate and they are a waste of money. Maybe that’s true for some people but for me I spent $20
on a bag, I injected some spores and 2 months later I have a few hundred mushrooms and it was the first time I’ve ever done it. In hindsight it was the easiest thing I’ve ever grown. I truly don’t understand why anyone would NOT want to go this way
