That's why thinking it is able to be always enmeshed and tagging along invisibly brings doubts from me.

Interesting. I appreciate your reply. I'd have to address with your conclusion. What are the chances that the spots that I'm speaking of are a reaction to areas of higher or lower concentrations/ratios of LME? Like if during the pouring of plates some plates end up with areas where more LME "settled"?

Hey, so 21 cups out of 400ml AGAG/ME/NY PC, might have poured them a little thick...



Sat down behind FH and work tray, cups to the left, tops to the right, put top on right after pour...

Will put tops on the left and cups on the right next time...

All done...

I'd have to say I just dont know. I don't really think mycelium would set up shop there and create an anomaly of growth and not just continue on growing outward. Really the take away here is...dont grab a transfer from anywhere near these spots/balls. Always look for that perfect outer edge and you'll be good.

I'd have to say I just dont know. I don't really think mycelium would set up shop there and create an anomaly of growth and not just continue on growing outward. Really the take away here is...dont grab a transfer from anywhere near these spots/balls. Always look for that perfect outer edge and you'll be good.

I wrap all my plates. I was under the impression no air exchange is needed for plates.

Plates need little air. The air that's in them when you seal them is enough... however, FAE does seem to be a trigger for plate pins.. Ive been opening older plates in front of a flow hood for a few minutes and sealing them back up :lol:

My no pour jars have enough holes under the sfd they love to pin

Ha! I can dig it. I get pins without doing anything special but my plates are wrapped in that glad wrap stuff.
