Thanks I appreciate it, these two plates have filled completely out. I still have other plates to transfer from and I'm letting these two go a little bit longer and see if I can get knots or a tiny pin to clone:





These are two of my fastest growing plates. This variety loves the 10g Agar/8g LME/500ml H2O recipe of my plates. Just watching it's growth rate compared to B+, Thai Lipa Yai and Ovoid myc has been impressive.

I'm tempted to go ahead and chuck these on grain but I would like to give them a little more time just in case there's anything lurking in there. I really want to get a plate pin and thought these would be a good candidate. May keep one to try and pin and put the other one to grain. Even though I know putting a germ plate to grain is probably not a great idea.

The second plate pic in the last post I let grow out completely, sliced in 4 pieces holding it upside down and dropped them into this jar of German Millet:



This is 4 days of growth since I dropped, it's by far the most aggressive, fast growing culture I have. It's impressive how quick it grows.

I went ahead and gave it a little redistribution shake. This is my first grain jars and the Millet swelled like a bitch! Next time I'll go way less, dumb.

Anyway if all goes well with this jar I will be putting it into a shoebox tub to fruit. The plate in the top pic has some knots forming and I'm waiting on a plate pin or two, hopefully.

I'm excited to see how quick this jar consolidates. The RW myc grows twice the rate of my B+ or Ovoid jars/plates.

Thanks for that link, it's cool seeing the history of it unfold.

I don't know if I just happened to get a fast growing culture of RW or just having good luck. But the cultures I have going right now are by far the strongest, healthiest and fastest I've seen.

I already have a special place for RW just because it's growing so well that it makes me feel better than I really am, lol. Plus they're beautiful when they fruit, very cool cross for sure.

I appreciate all the hard work that's went into making it what it is today. I'll hopefully be able to help keep it going. The swab I got was F11 and I have a LC growing from that original swab, been about a week so far so good. I'll hopefully get some slants going too.

Starting another big run of RW monotubs pretty soon. Going to grains this week!

RW remains my favorite 'normal' cube to grow and also for trips. Eternal thanks to PastyWhyte!

Hi yas Pastywhyte!

Rusty Whyte was my first "big "grow (I've done a couple of UB Tek grows a few years back, this is my first bulk sub grow after deciding to expand my knowledge and take this more seriously as a hobby).  In the time since I've done a variety of other strains and Rusty Whyte is by far my favorite.  Thank you for bringing this strain into existence.

This thread is impressive.  I love the community here, people are so helpful in sharing their knowledge.  I got a RW syringe as part of an all-in-one bag set and started doing some research.  I thankfully stumbled into this community and am amazed at the journey that this strain (still not sure of correct terminology?) has taken from the beginning to ending up in my mailbox.  It seems there were a lot of hands in the testing/development of this variety.  I am also now completely sold on agar work and hope to graduate from these bags into a more comprehensive understanding of the lifecycle and techniques for clean handling.  Thanks!

It was 1 of 2 spore syringes that got sent.  The other is PE6.  I didn't choose it, but feel lucky that I got it because I started reading on it, and found this thread that showed the history behind it.  It will probably be the best part of ordering the bags...hahaha.  I just put some to my first agar as well and hope I can get some nice plates.

Wanted opinion on my agar plate (followed ur tek) and using rusty Whyte spores. Is his colonizing correctly?

The brown/dark marks are the spores from the print. Print from **vendor name removed.  Please donโ€™t discuss vendor names with cultivation.  Ty
