I really hope that's a joke. I have a dog myself that I love more than any person but I would never even imagine claiming his as a dependent.

It seems to me that republicans and democrats are more of extremists or even anti-democratic than liberals or others.

Anyone fighting for their side lacks logic. No one side can be right. A fair balance of views is what should rule this world and
unfortunately it doesn't.

There are more liberals than conservatives here

How do you figure? There are more regular liberal posters on this board than conservatives? Which liberal posters are here more often than luv, evolving, pinkie, you, and the TOYK/germ/shakta axis?

What freedoms do you want?

- freedom to chose
- freedom to use drugs without being locked up
- protection of the Bill of Rights & the destruction of the PATRIOT ACT
- basic and essential civil rights (i.e. gay marriage)
- individual liberty over the vague, often-abused, and collectivist concept of "national security"
- freedom from religious-statism

...none of which conservatives actively support.

Besides the issue of gun control (which I do not support), liberals in office probably intrude less into others' personal decisions; it is nearly always the bible-thumping, right-wing conservatives who try to push their morality onto others and impede any civil rights movement (besides gun ownership, of course, which is more of cultural manifestation than anything) that develops in the public forum.

Bush is hardly an "independent" - Bush and Ascroft & co. are incredibly conservative. I'd hate to see what you'd consider "a hardcore conservitive" - sounds like it would be the Christian Taliban.

Yeah sadly some of the ?libertarians$ around here cannot actaully formulate a coherent arguement without pinky...which is a bit sad.

Hey luvedem, do you think pinky is right 100% of the time? By the way this is a yes/no question, Just like the ones u are so fond of posing!

Many can, he's just VERY good at it. I have less patience and tend to be blunt and often rude. He has far more tolerance for stupidity than I do.

No. I've seen him caught on a point or two. It's quite rare though.

Too bad so many are incapable of, or too dishonest to, give one.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation. Bush is an asshole.

Perhaps this is why he tolerates you?
