Nice! He hooked you up bro! That’s awesome!your going to have so much fun with those! I tried to get a friend of mine into mycology, it’s like I’m speaking a different language and he just looks at me stupid.  He Said “ isn’t it easier to just buy them?”  Ha ha! I just laughed at him.

Totally get what you are saying, my roommate rolls his eyes whenever I talk about mycology! He just wants to know when I have mushrooms lol. The fruits of my labor have become secondary, I just like watching that shit grow!:mushroom2:

I saw a guy “making snowflakes” on his agar plates the other day.  It was beautiful!

I haven’t been around much longer Than you, we kinda on the same boat there. I love learning from cool people that really want to make a difference. It’s magical here! Sharing knowledge and experience is priceless.

Has anyone on here ever used aquafaba as a nutrient source for agar or LC? I feel like aquafaba from garbanzo or black beans would totally work given that they're mostly starch, but I'm kind of curious if anyone else has already given it a shot.

Priceless indeed, used to grow shiitakes for a friend in years past but never worked with agar.
Now I pour plates with confidence, plenty of knowledge and information for those willing to learn. Wish I knew about the shroomery back then!

Kroger "on the go cups". The lids snap close real nicely.

I also have used ones from Target the lids are harder to close for me but provide a better "viewing" window

Usually $2-3 for 50 pk

Yeah, I've seen that. I mostly work with regular petri's but do no-pours every now and then for certain projects. My supply of glad rounds is dwindling and I can't find them locally anymore, so I've been looking around for something that works just as good.

Are those 2oz pp5 cups? I saw 2 and 4oz on amazon, but I went with 4oz because the guy in the tek I followed used 4oz, but now after using them I realize the 2oz would be a hell of a lot more convenient; can do way more cups in the pc, easier to take cuts and spread spores with loop.

What are you trying to accomplish with the agar? Science says fucking go for it and take notes. They will all fruit, IME. Does it mean you'll get canopies? Probably not, but you'll get fruits and prints and experience what you like on agar.

I go to town on T1 or T2 without a care as long as it's obviously not contammed. You don't need the agar porn everyone shows off

Blenderless LI is fun and all but have you messed with GLC (grain liquid cultures?)
