Reflexive opposition to people who are right 99% of the time explains how you end up with so many retarded opinions

What's an example of a "retarded opinion"?

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

1. That the Syrian gas attack is a hoax;
2. That the Skripals weren't poisoned by Russians;
3. That the media is engaged in a coverup to protect biden.

How about his opinion that elections and governance in Russia are conducted with full transparency and that all of the murders of journalists are just funny little coincidences

There's no subjugation of the opposition! The Russian people just love Putin and everyone that opposes him just happens to come across unfortunate circumstances!

1.  I have the OPCW investigation team on my side for this, so I guess they are the 'retards'.
2.  I don't know if the Skripals were poisoned by Russians or not, but I don't believe in making things up like you do.
3.  We've had countless discussions about the cover up, and companies involved have had to testify to Congress about it.

Care to try again?

You have the OPCW investigation team on your side? Here is the summary of their conclusions from their official document

Does that sound like they are saying that the Syrian Government didn't commit these attacks?

Don't need to.  You asked for examples.  I gave you three.  It's all pretty straightforward.

What I said was there is no evidence Putin had anything to do with these, just like there is no evidence Hillary had anything to do with the deaths of her opponents.

That's not the conclusions of the investigation team.  That's the conclusions of the report writing team that the investigation team's report was given to.

We're not talking about Hilary are we - how about your analysis of the OPCW investigation which you are claiming says the Syrian government didn't use chemical weapons?

I just directly quoted the beginning summary of their report can you say anything to the contrary?

Bullshit that is the conclusions of the investigations team

https://www.opcw.org/media-centre/news/2020/04/opcw-releases-first-report-investigation-and-identification-team

The IIT Coordinator, Mr Santiago Oñate-Laborde stated in his remarks that:

“[t]he IIT has concluded that there are reasonable grounds to believe that the perpetrators of the use of sarin as a chemical weapon in Ltamenah on 24 and 30 March 2017, and the use of chlorine as a chemical weapon on 25 March 2017 were individuals belonging to the Syrian Arab Air Force. … Attacks of such a strategic nature would have only taken place on the basis of orders from the higher authorities of the Syrian Arab Republic military command. Even if authority can be delegated, responsibility cannot. … In the end, the IIT was unable to identify any other plausible explanation.”

You probably didn't read much of this thread:  Did Bashar al-Assad launch a 7 Apr 18 Chemical Attack in Douma?

But I'll summarize a few points.

The original inspection team who wrote the draft report, many of whom went to Douma, concluded the following:

- That the cylinders found on the site of the alleged attack were more likely manually placed there than dropped from a plane or helicopter
- That the experts found no correlation between the symptoms of the victims and chlorine exposure
- That the levels of chlorine found were so low they may have come from household cleaners

Those results were changed without the input of the original inspection team after the report was submitted to the OPCW report writing team.

Again, there's a whole thread about this.

The OPCW gets most of its money from America, and I suspect they didn't want to risk losing any of that.

Why don't you just directly show me the contradicting evidence of the investigators stating that they were likely manually placed there? Or any direct evidence instead of all of this goose hunt non-credible website, youtube video & thread search stuff lol

Sure, I posted a copy of the original engineering report here, which Wikileaks released after the final report came out with a different conclusion.

See page 8 paragraph 33.

I don't think that Wikileaks evidence can be considered a trustworthy source of that type of information at the moment considering their entailment with the Russian Government.

Falcon91Wolvrn03 is also misrepresenting it as "the original engineering report" when it's actually just one individuals summary of their engineering assessment of the two cylinders likelihood of having been dropped from a helicopter. It's also obvious as to why this individuals assessment was not included in the official report, given that their summary reveals significant gaps in methodology.

1st. They state an intent to create and test "at least two clear and opposing hypotheses" for each location. They go on to create at least two hypotheses (dropped by helicopter, placed by people on the ground) - but the summary only tests the first hypothesis, finds it unsupported by their data, and concludes that therefore the second hypothesis is correct. Not only is that ignoring their own stated methodology, it's also an unsound argument (A or B. A is unlikely, therefore B).

2nd. While testing their first hypothesis, they state the cylinder was dropped from an "unknown altitude" but then go on to arbitrarily limit their model to only testing drop heights between 500-2000m. That assumption fundamentally flawed their conclusions - especially since they state that the damage observed "could only have been caused by an impact, under an angle of 20°, with an initial velocity significantly lower than the ones considered in the simulation".

It's no surprise that this fundamentally flawed assessment wasn't included in the final OPCW report. It's also no surprise that Falcon91Wolvrn03 continues to misrepresent and publicize it

First of all, we already KNOW that the engineering report is real, as the guy who wrote it came out and said so.

Secondly, I've already asked this before and no one could answer:

Right, and we already KNOW the guy who wrote that report did not have all the information and acted outside of his duties with OPCW.  We also KNOW that he never had any authorization to write it.  Calling it the "original report" is so dishonest that I think we can fairly say you're lying here.

Quote:
14. In July 2018, Inspector A, without proper authorisation, contacted companies about conducting an engineering study on the cylinders found at two locations in Douma. When this became known to the team leader of the FFM, Inspector A was instructed to refrain from making contact with any external third parties. The investigation found that Inspector A did not accept this and decided that he was going to complete his study alone—without informing the FFM team leader.
