for me it defintely felt like i had two choices, go to the unknown place that is probably equateable to death or insanity.

then the other day on shrooms (i get stuck in "the loop" every time i shroom trip) i finally made peace with the fact that there is no way out of the loop, so my best bet is just to help the loop along, help everything continue its pattern.

the loop for me is the realization that everything is ordered, and if you keep going higher looking for a way out you keep finding higher levels of order.

First of all, filthysock, who says we are not God?
I have noticed the high dose experience to involve several
points where I pass out and wake up again, and things are
still very strange. You know when you know, to have had the
experience is the only way. There is an infinite loneliness to
it because all there is to know is yourself, which is every self,
but seeing how you are limited can be scary. Some people see this
as a bad trip but it is the high level and I agree with the
fear of losing one's mind, that is probably a possiblity but
I have been pretty fucking far out of my mind and all come
back.

The loneliness of existence with respect to ones self is a beautiful thing to contemplate and experience. It can be perceived as a terrible thing or it can be accepted and perceived as a direct result of the intricate and brilliant, ordered nature of existence.

Last saturday me and a m8 brewed up 8gr using two mugs worth of water. What happened next was one of strangest experiences of my life, at first I was going mad laughing at everything and getting high off my thoughts, then I started to really explore all the things that came into my head getting deeper and deeper without realising just how far I had gone.

As I had never tripped that hard before I spent the last 1/2hr of my trip near to death (in my mind) before puking up and comming down.

After it had happened I talked with my m8 for an hour or so about it as we smoked, laughing at it. But i think it will be a long time before i try and go back there, i dont think im ready for that just yet. But it was definatly an amazing experience that I wont forget!

the  exact thing happended to me on my 1st trip ate like 300 or so liberty caps.. im sure it was a insane large dose, i thought id be stuck in that state of mind forever was crazy. it actually scared the shit into me i thought i had lost my mind :P freinds said i was rambling shit making no sense.. wonder who i was trying to communicate with haha pretty funny looking back on it actually  :eek:

Well, I have also had intense trips. Once I thought that there is no real reality, except that in my head, and that if I fail I will never return to the world i know.

The fear of losing one's mind and sanity bothers me sometimes, glad to hear I am not the only one.

I think that Terrence Mckenna said that this fear is very useful for learning and taking the experience seriously. But is there a real danger of never returning to our world, is this fear healthy, or an impediment to real ego-loss?

And perhaps what people, myself included, fear is exactly ego-loss, the complete(temporary) disintegration of one's waking consciousness. But from what I have read and experienced, one always returns and even if one "let's go " temporarily we all return to our world, and the only real change is the new information and experience.
