though all of these have been good, esp. matrix and fightclub,
i recomend mind walk, Time bandits, Titan AE, and a movie i found at Natraul Wonders, it's called eyescape-- if you play some BT or Blue man group with it you are in for a treat!

The Iron Giant and Fantasia 2000 are my top two. I've had great trips watching them.

Being John Malkovich...crazy enough when sober; A total mindfuck when tripping.
Spinal Tap ...if you just want to grin like a smurf.
Jacob's Ladder
A Bug's Life
Pleasantville
Truman Show
Willy Wonka, of course.
And Apollo 13...(I am kinda biased on this one; I had my most intense peak ever when they said "Houston, we have a problem"....insane)

the list could go on forever -- though i only save movies for the coming down and going up parts ( i feel it wastes the experience to watch tv or movies ) Alice In Wonderland definitely
Yellow Submarine is pretty trippy even w/out drugs
um ya pretty much anything animated
...no offense to anyone but i really think the last thing i would ever do on a trip is watch Conan O'Brien....its a good show for me sober tho
We're all mad here...

I don't care about you guys. Not at all. But my favourite movie when chewing my eyes on boosh, has got to be 'An officer and a gentleman' starring Richard 'Gear' Gear.
Check out that scene when he gets kicked in the balls

Heh yeah great cinematography alright, last time I watched that movie I had to turn it off..the opening scene where the camera pans away from them in the bar, well the background is all dark blue but all the actors are wearing light colors and as it pulled away it looked like I was being sucked into the picuture while at the same time falling back from it....err..well needless to say it was cool as hell..

Ya know, as corny as it sounds...Elmo In Grouchland...those CTW kids came up with a real tripfest with this one...The vivid colors, the schized out villain, Huxley(Aldous?)...I woke up in the middle of the night with the TV on not long ago, and couldn't quit watching it, sober!
And if you don't like it...this message is brought to you by the letters F & U :-)

I haven't had a chance to watch it yet but for some reason I just think the smurfs would be the shit while tripping. I dont have any on tape or anything or else I am sure I would have watched them by now. I've been keeping my eye out for a movie or something though. Anyone watched the smurfs yet?? I used to watch them a lot when i was a kid and when I am shrooming sometimes I regress to a much more child like state so I think I would love it. Karen

DON'T watch violent shit like Natural Born Killers!!!
I know a guy who watched it tripping, and wanted to go out and kill someone even though he knew it was wrong. Unless of course you want to become a killer.
Watch Yellow Submarine! Great visuals, great moral, really really good.

The Game is absolutely amazing while tripping. You get so involved in the plot (even if you've seen it a ton like I have) and actually forget what's gonna happen next and start theorizing and shit... it's kickass!

Good lord! I can't beleive anyone hasn't said "What Dreams May Come" yet! That is one of the best movies to watch during a trip. Robin Williams goes to heaven, and runs through a field, squeezing paint from bulbs of plants and painting flowers all over the place. Oh, and he runs and jumps off a cliff - can't beat jumping off of cliffs. This place looks like ten times the beauty of what that Garden of Eden was.

scary and or violent movies on psychedelics will not necessarily make you want to kill people. They might make you more suceptible to having an unpleasant experience, but sometimes facing the "dark side" is part of the challenge.
One time to prep. myself for a 7 hit acid trip I watched apocalypse now beforehand. The trip was fantastic.

Lost Highway, by Lynch, is also cool. Or if you get a chance to find it (very rare), watch his short film "The Grandmother"...

I'd recommend anything by Ingmar Bergman, especially 'cries and whispers', if you want that serious introspection trip, though you may get bored with it after 20 seconds. for crazy shit, there's 'iron man' by tetsuo, a japanese film. I think the star wars trilogy is really cool, too. Once I watched a movie with Dustin Hoffman in it while tripping and now I can't watch a movie with him in it without staring at his nose the entire time. :P His nose was bloody huge when tripping.

the violence in natural born killers isnt really that bad.
its got a lot of good themes in it,i had to watch it a few times (5 or 6) before i really felt like i understood all the stuff thats going on.
i think the part where they are in the desert with the old native guy would be amazing while tripping.
