Look dude , you start low , then work your way up over the course of the season , start with 25 caps , then 3-5 days later , up it to 50 , and so on until you reach your own sweet spot ... 30 medium size bone dry caps is around a gram ...

Got about 80 out on Dartmoor today. Saw a bunch of people out looking so possibly they beat me to it but it was pretty slim pickings.  My usual spot which has served me well the last few years wasn't showing too many.  A few pins though so hoping it might be better a few weeks from now.

Seems like more people than usual out and about looking though, might have to head up to my lake district spot instead, given how quiet it always is there.

Best of luck to everyone who hasn't found anything yet this season, especially the first time hunters

What would say your average haul was from a 2hr hunt?

Yesterday I came away with about 30ish.

Around 200~ per hour in a decent spot, even more if you find a 'golden field'

Hi trippers, well after many miles hunting in perfect conditions I've found my field of dreams..250g in just under 3 hours. Had them in the dehydrator worked out 26g cracker dry.ive been picking libs for 30 years & this feels like a good season in Northumberland.peace x
